MAC Matte 2015: Some Warm/Neutral Shade Swatches!
Promised you guys some swatches from the MAC Matte 2015 Collection which is out in the US and launching in Singapore 31 July.
I don’t have all the shades available right now, so here is a sampling for your reference! If you want to see all of the 15 non-permanent shades, hit this link for the wrist swatch post:
http://blogger.makeup-box.com/2015/06/mac-matte-lip-2015-releases.html
My favorites are probably Velvet Teddy, Antique Velvet and Ruby Woo.
Dangerous is beautiful but unlike Ruby Woo, it goes on slightly patchy. That’s why it’s not a fave for me. But otherwise, I love the color. You need to work at it a bit to build up and even out the color, but if you don’t mind, and your lips are not very pigmented, this would be fine.
To see my previous post with the face swatches of “cool” shades from the collection, go on over to http://www.makeup-box.com/post/123178183373/mac-matte-2015-cool-lip-swatches-i-promised
irishkings Yeah I’ve tried some Ruby Woos that were a bit patchy. It seems they are not that consistent because the ones I’ve owned were pretty alright! Takes a bit of work to build up because it’s so matte but otherwise not patchy. (Or it might be the warm humid weather where I am - I can imagine it would be harder to apply a full layer of Ruby Woo in cooler weather!)
one-choked-his-little-self It’s got a slightly creamier texture among the mattes and I didn’t build this up to full intensity, so that might be why! It’s just a true taupe shade.
thereismagicinoptimism Thank you sweetie!!
