Princess is missing!
So after the release of our Pet scan app Princess gone missing. I think the entrance did not let her in... If there are more pets missing I'll get fired... But who cares? Have you seen her? I tried the app for the missing pets, but it did not work 😭
Day 6 after launching face_scan_student
Today we officially announced the stop of face_scan_student for now. This does not mean that the project is officially over, it is just on hold for now until we have figured all the problems out.

Day 5 after launching face_scan_student
Today a lot more problems occurred. We are really sorry for the inconvenience, but we are trying our best to fix it. The face_scan at the HF library is currently out of order and the attendance at Syneshaugen is still not working properly. Therefore, all students and teachers are advised to keep a manual attendance list as a backup.
Day 4 after launching face_scan_student
The problem at the gym is still not solved and it will probably take longer than we thought. So until the end of the month, everything there will still be working as it was before the face_scan_student launch.
Day 3 after launching face_scan_student
The technical problems with the face_scan at Syneshaugen is solved and is working properly now. However, the face_scan at the Studentsentret gym is still not working properly, so please still bring your chip with you to attend the classes and access the gym.
Day 2 after launching face_app_student
Today we are dealing with the first technical problems after our launch. The automatic face_scan at Syneshaugen stopped to work, so the attendance was not checked any more. If you had class at Syneshaugen today please contact your teacher to get your attendance marked.
Day 1 after launching face_app_student
Our new face_app program at UiB launched yesterday and replaced the need to carry a student ID card with you.
Until now all the programms seem to run smoothly and the lending of books, as well as the payment method at all sammen cafeterias, is working like we planned.

Face coffee
Now you can pay for your coffee at selected coffee places in Bergen using your registered face. For you as a costumer, this means that you don’t have to bother with your outdated and awkward payment-cards and cash. Our technology makes buying super easy! ☕️

I was so busy at the weekend. I had to fix a bug in my hair app... Like there was a serious problem with Halloween event! Have you seen any crazy hairstyles so far?
This New Car Is Amazing!
Not long ago, I picked up the new car available to a selected few people by the company Face-scan. And thus far, it has been Amazing!
It helped me the first time already when I was driving home from picking up the Car, and I was a but cranky as this was earlier than I normally get out of bed and I was struggling a bit to find the place. I even went on the wrong bus so I became around 50 minutes late, which was really stressful. So as I drive from the facility, the car starts... "reacting" one could say. My heat started to warm up, the integrated massage system started going and giving me a light massage, the car released this faint, but relaxing "happy smell" one could say, some sort of flower smell I think. The lighting inside the car changed to this calming light blue colour that filled the car, and the music that came on was music I have never heard before, but it was very satisfying to listen to.
So, my take on this car thus far is simply put, Amazing! Really looking forward to keep testing this car further!
The New Car!!
I signed up for the testing of the new Articial Intelligence integrated cars with facial recognition, and today I got the message that I was chosen to be one of the testers! The car is made by the famous Face-scan company, so I have high expectations of this!
Apparently it has mood detection, "face-key" so I don't need a physical key, driving-assistance, integrated home entertainment system, and more!
Really looking forward to testing out this car! I will update you guys as I go! 😊
I just got fired. I know I shouldn't have lied that day but I really wanted to go to that concert so I told my boss I was sick. I thought I was safe because that was months ago but Mister Bergen and Face_scan had to dig up all of my interests to show people a « new side of me » and that's when that came out. By sharing my personal life with the whole city and trying to make me look like a good guy, they ruining everything. I don't have a job anymore. My best friend won't talk to me because of a picture that got leaked. Silver lining : I learned that my girlfriend was cheating on me through Face_scan so thanks guys, really owe you on that one. For all of the other stuff, I guess I'll see you in court.
The riots are really getting out of hand... I woke up this morning to the news about people dressed in mask are smashing our CC-TV cameras, they have been targeting employers of FACE_Scan and we have been told to stay at home... I am starting to question this, I mean - if so many people, many thousands they said on the news, are reacting this strongly, maybe I am wrong? We are getting global publicity as well, Bergen has been nicknamed TinyChina, and are getting massive critices from other European countries... We don’t know what is going on, and our bosses are keeping us in the dark about our future... I am not done beliving in this... but maybe we are not using the technology in a good way? I don't know anything anymore...
Yesterday I was back at the office, and I told my colleagues about what I had seen on Friday, about the people wearing masks. Apparently, its a way to hide from facial recognition systems - so they would not be recognized! There have been protests and Internet campaigns and everything. Why would they? They are missing out on so much fun, and my life is so much more easy now with all these new systems we are developing. I mean, the possibilities are endless!
Another thing I noticed this weekend was that a lot of people at the bar was wearing masks or makeup to cover up their face. I found this strange, it was not announced to be a costume party that night...
This has been a crazy weekend... On Friday I hit up Ad fontes (the student bar at HF) excited to see my baby, HappyPrice, in action. It started out well, I went up to the bartender and ordered a beer with a big smile on my face. Happy as I was, a got a great discount. The bartender was also super happy, he told me that the management was testing out the new CC-TV surveillance system for the employes, the one where they manage their moods. I got excited since I have been working on both and asked him how he liked them. He said he hated it, but still with a big smile on his face. He told me how this girl he used to work with got fired because her boyfriend broke up with her and she was crying at work. Not the type of behaviour they liked to see in their employees. He had also gotten his salary cut due to having a bad day at work. I was sad to hear this, but on the other hand - this is what the system was supposed to do. So I took my beer and went back to my friends.
Much later, this guy picks a fight with the bartender because of the HappyPrice app did not give him a discount, due to him being too drunk to smile properly, so I guess the algorithms did read his attempt at this as a smile. People were clearly upset about the system, and this saddens me. Hopefully, they will get used to it and start loving it as much as I do.
I … just quit my job. I stood up, went to my boss and talked to him like a dreamwalker. But now I feel better. It was just too much. Now I go home, sleep for 18 hours and don’t look at a screen until I don’t get a headache from it anymore. Which might be in a month or two. So don’t wait for stuff from me for some time. Bye.
