âI sure try.â He retorted, gently lifting the brim up, to see her face. âThatâs sad? How often you supposed to wash a hat, Marianne?â He gaped. âAnd well, I do prefer the other one. âS got more memories with it, than this dumb thing. A little happier to wear. But, this was the closest thing to the door when I left I the morninâ.â
âI was saying that your leaving the other hat was sad you fool.â She laughed, poking his chest lightly with a soft giggle. She took the hat off then, putting it back on his head as she looked up at him. âWell, maybe youâll get it back one day.âÂ
Leaning up, she kissed his cheek softly before pulling away from him entirely, feeling a little bit colder from it. âDessert?âÂ
"Shucks, well, maybe it'll just pop up one day, like I do." He joked, taking a lazy step backwards, and shoving his hands in his pockets as they separated.
"Dessert? Is that a question? Because my answer is yes ma'am!" Henry beamed, waltzing towards the refrigerator. "This thing get bigger since I left? What kinda dessert you got hiding inside?"
