Cyrus, oh Cyrus. Cyrus is a Jewish gay boy who is out to so his best friends and is still figuring things out. Cyrus is religious and gay, something lots of kids don’t think they can be, and he is the child of divorced parents. They even celebrated his Bar Mitzvah! Cyrus is also very clearly depressed.

Jonah is a very confused boy who was victim to emotional manipulation by an abusive girlfriend, and who has severe self-esteem issues. Jonah also how anxiety, and suffers from panic attacks that he is insecure about

Bex is andi’s mom. She is an Asian American single(ish) mother who gave birth to Andi as a teenager.

TJ is a bully who is sexist towards Buffy on the basketball team. Although he is undoubtedly not a great person, he clearly has insecurities deeply rooted in his learning disability. He has discalculia (I think that’s what it’s called), and is struggling to come to terms/get help with it.

Amber was a very manipulative girlfriend to Jonah, and this is unforgivable. However, she also acts out her insecurities rooted in her family situation; her sad is unemployed and her family is in a financial crisis.

Andi Mack is such an amazing show, and almost every kid can see themselves in the show. It is so beautiful for that and it deserves more attention
