Tumblr informs me that it's been 600 days since my last post here. Laughing and cringing at how horrendously immature I was! A brief update on my life. I'm not entirely sure when I last logged into tumblr. It may have been months. April 2014, the day before Joel and I leave for Bali, we decided to head out to Palmwoods, to visit Homegrown for the first time since I had quit two months previously. I immediately missed the place as soon as we arrived. We grabbed a coffee and headed out back to check out the suitcase rummage that was on that day. On the garden wall I spotted a tiny handwritten sign, 'one bedroom cottage for rent, five minutes out of Palmwoods, $200/week'. We decided that we had to call the number ASAP as we were going to have to find a place to live once settlement had been approved, and Joel's half of his house had been handed back over to his former partner (we don't want no cookie cutter estate home!). We went up that day to see the house. The building itself is over 130 years old, and was originally used as a train ticket sales office in Buderim until it was trucked to Palmwoods-Montville road in the early 80's. We fell in love with the house, outdoor bathroom and massive property and agreed to move in as soon as we got back from our holiday. Fast forward to two months later; we had a wonderful time overseas, Joel spontaneously quit his traveling job and got a coastal job a few days after, we moved into our little bush shack, I came back to Homegrown (I just ditched my other job yesterday, I woke up and decided I was never going back to that awful place haha), we have had many gatherings around our campfire with our buddies, we had an amazing weekend camping at Benarkin State Forest, and most importantly we adopted a little Border Collie puppy and named him Vader. He's three months old now (8 weeks when we got him) and I just can't believe how fast he is growing. Life is a crazy fun experience, and I love my little family with all of my heart <3 :)

Last week we packed up the jimny and escaped up to double island point and rainbow beach for a few days. No technology or luxuries, just sleeping under the stars and swimming in water clear as glass. You could literally dive under the waves, open your eyes and see the white sand, the blue and turquoise hues of the water and the clouds from below the surface. It was mindblowing. I love this boy; everything makes sense with him.
