I can’t even fathom the absolute torture Johnny Depp would’ve had to endure over the past few years. All the lies, the manipulation, the abuse. To not only be emotionally and physically abused, which in itself is hard enough, but to be painted out to be some type of monster. One of the worst types of monsters; a woman beater.

Can you imagine just how lonely and isolating it would’ve been for him to have the whole world judge him and hate him for something he did not do? To be portrayed as the person that he himself was so afraid of? 

How mortifying it must’ve been for him when he watched his abuser become the voice and face for abuse survivors? To watch them accept a role as a human rights ambassador?

This woman punched him, hit him, spat on him, threw things at him, put a cigarette out on his face, sliced his finger off, she god damn shat in his bed. (I mean what the actual fuck?) Then proceeded to get away scot-free. 

Meanwhile, his life was falling apart and no one believed him.

Amber Heard’s behavior is downright disgusting and it is NOT okay. It is also NOT okay that she gets away with it just because she is a woman. People need to wake up and realize this is a real issue with every gender.

I hope Johnny Depp gets the justice he deserves.

You all owe a big fucking apology to Johnny Depp. A man who was bullied, “canceled”, mocked, and abused for years while his abuser stood by and played victim. A man who almost lost his life while the woman he loved repeatedly abused, kicked, hit and berated him, calling him weak and mocking him for not fighting back. For not abusing her.

You all owe an apology to his children, Lily Rose and Jack, then-minors who were relentlessly bullied online for years and sent death threats when they defended their father. All the while, Amber was the abuser.

You owe an apology to his exes, who stood by him from the beginning and were ignored: Vanessa Paradis, Winona Rider, Sherilynn Fenn, Lori Anne Allison. All the while, Amber was the abuser.

You owe an apology to his friends and coworkers who sided with him, enduring years of online abuse: JK Rowling, Paul McCartney, Marylin Manson, Paul Bettany, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom, and Zoe Kravitz to name a few. All the while, Amber was the abuser.

Johnny Depp deserves better than for his story to be ignored because he is a man.

If you truly care about domestic violence and abuse, now would be a pretty fucking good time to show it.

I’m seeing so many people now saying that Johnny and Amber were in a mutually abusive relationship. I’m gonna give y’all the benefit of doubt and say that you’re probably just not properly informed on this case. Listen to the 1hr audio. Read the court documents. Amber admitted to abusing Johnny multiple times. Johnny only admitted to throwing something at her one time when she threw cans at him, and pushing her one other time when she was hitting him. This is self defence.

This is not including the fact that abuse is more than physical, and in that audio tape we see examples of her emotional abuse. She gets angry at him and accuses him of not caring about her or their marriage because he walks away when she’s yelling or gets violent. She calls him a coward and mocks him for getting someone else involved when she attacked him.

After the allegations came out, her parents texted him and told him they loved him and missed him (her mother even asked to adopt him). They didn’t dispute his denial of her accusations or his claims that she abused him. In fact, they seemed to comfort him and said that the lawyers made her come up with those allegations.

Look, there’s mountains of evidence against her. Calling it mutual is simply cheapening the abuse that Johnny Depp suffered. It also sends out a terrible message to victims of abuse that if you defend yourself, you’re an abuser too.

i'm so sick of people saying ben walked away himself from his family, that it was all his fault, like luke and leia never did anything wrong. but you know what, ben was manipulated, since before he was even born. so it was also his fault that he is manipulated? it was his fault that he was abandoned by his family? it was his fault that he walked away cause his uncle was trying to kill him? while he was sleeping? fuck you
