Bruce spends a while watching the Talon from a distance , surveilling it. It doesn't seem.. as hostile as the ones he's met in the past, the ones that always wanted– and still do want, for him to join them.
Has it noticed him? Maybe. He's found over the years that Talons are ruthless, with a strong, instant regenerative ability. Killers for the Court, or their masters, better known as mouthpieces for whatever it wills or wants to do to Gotham.
His brow furrows beneath the cowl. Bruce still doesn't know their real recruitment tactics. How they train people– so incredibly well, and take them, convince them to do anything they say.
Brainwashing is an obvious idea. He doesn't yet know enough to decide.
He fires his grapple and swings, soundlessly, to a high platform next to the Talon. He stands, and stares, assessing it.
"You work for the Court of Owls?" He frames it more like a statement than a question, curious to the Talon's reaction.
Talon has a mission, it's supposed to be killing a man for its current Owl, having been hired to do a few different hits for the woman as well as guarding her son for an event in a few days. Talon's not sure why it must kill, but it knows its targets and that's all it needs to know. It's surveying a man in the apartment nearby, he's simply cooking at the counter, alone. Talon watches from the roof, barely moving.
That's when it notices someone's watching it as well. Talon only peaks from the corner of its eye, not wanting to alert its surveyor that it's aware of the fact they're here. Talon is crouched against a ledge, almost animalistic in a way with its claws dug into the concrete.
When the stalker lands by it, Talon immediately moves to slash at them with its claws before pausing and simply staring at the man. It knows him. Itknowshimitknowshimitknowshim- Bat. That's the only word that comes to mind really, but it recognizes him and his words make it back away, still crouched and in a ready stance, reaching for the knives strapped to its body.
It tilts its head to the side at the question before simply nodding once in response, unsure why the man is questioning it. But he's familiar, in a way that makes Talon's head hurt.
