All right, I’m gonna try this again. In the hopes of hosting a RWBYmafia game, I’d like to invite you all to reblog this with a character of your choosing - you’ll want to make an IC account of the character you want to be and name the character you’re nabbing. Mind you, the character of your choosing doesn’t have to be the one you actually write on your RP blog.

ALTERNATIVELY, if enough people are interested, we can simply roll through the deck and we’ll all get randomly assigned a character. (Bear in mind that the deck was made before Neo got introduced: It has Coco, Sage, and Scarlet among more well known characters.)

Takeru was among the onlookers, though his eyes were on her blade, not the platform under her feet. Not bad, considering the no-doubt slippery footing.

Finally, he stepped out from the crowd, so he could make sure the girl on the water could hear him, a shinai he’d finally bothered to buy resting over his shoulder. Couldn’t match a real sword, but for now, it would do.

"Oi! Y’got room for one more on that thing?"

There was lots of murmuring she could just barely hear and she pouted. She was no attraction, not like everything else on that pier. This was serious. It wasn't her fault that the best place to set up the ice was off of it.

A yell caught her attention but she didn't look right away.

"It might get a little cramped, so only if you're willing to train!" She sincerely doubted one of those fair-goers had the slightest interest in work. Maybe she'd get to knock one off the ice. That'd be fun.

"Well it isn't the best surface to practice on, but it will do."

Weiss pointedly ignored the pier-goers gaping above her as she practiced her thrusts on a makeshift and very icy platform floating nearby. It was like they'd never seen ice magic before.

She wasn’t wrong. Ominous was probably one of the kinder wys to describe the situation at large. But, no point lingering on that.

"Me, go easy on you? Wouldn’t dream of it, Snowflake."

"Good. I'll be looking forward to it!" It was hard to play it cool, but she tried her best. No one had to know how excited she was about finding a new ally, sparring partner, and friend.

"…possibly. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything definite right now." The chances seemed high, but until there was anything solid, he couldn’t rightfully say as much. Besides, no point in making people panic prematurely.

"Anyway, yeah. I don’t think you’ll have any shortage of sparring partners around. But… one thing at a time, I suppose."

"Huh. That's kinda ominous, but I guess everything about this situation is anyway." Would they ever catch a break? It seemed unlikely.

"But Island or not, I'll certainly take you up on your offer eventually. Souji too if he is interested. It'd be... fun." The heiress couldn't really believe her first friends here were a otherworldly ninja and samurai, but she'd take it. They'd had been nice enough to her that she didn't feel like fussing too much over them and their backgrounds. There was little chance they were faunas anyway."Just promise you won't take it too easy on me. I'll do the same~"

"Trust me, no one’s saying you shouldn’t stay on top of your game." He certainly wasn’t, anyway. "Something tells me we may need all the help we can get, sooner or later."

"But, ah… if that does work out, don’t hesitate to ask if you’d rather have someone to spar with now and then." Dummies could only do so much. "Wouldn’t be surprised if you could talk Souji into it, too."

"You think something is brewing around here?" Great, the last thing she needed was any White Fang and Roman Torchwick-esque shenanigans on top of trying to get home. "I guess... I'll tell the others to make sure they keep sharp too," Weiss sighed, scratching her head. They all might need that island at this point, though she wasn't sure how she was going to get multiple people there.

"I could maybe get Ren into it, but if you're offering I could use a fresh style to go up against. Especially since I don't know how anything around here fights... And you think he would? It'd be interesting at least to go sword to sword." Not counting Jaune, she could trounce him in her sleep.

He just shrugged.

"Probably. I don’t know the details, but it’s big enough that they send troops there for some kind of ritual." He’d arrived after the fact, but it wasn’t hard to find bits and pieces like that floating around.

"Then again, I guess some of the outsiders joined in, too. So it may not matter. Who knows how often they even check to see if anyone’s out there, anyway."

In other words, he hadn’t been out there himself. It wasn’t like a boat was easy to catch around these parts.

"Ritual? Great.... Still, it might be worth checking out. I won't know until I try." Her face hardened into a determined one, "Just because I'm not back home doesn't mean I don't need to sharpen my skills fighting with my sword. I'm certainly not going to let myself become rusty anyway."

"...Thanks for the information though. It was helpful. Let's just hope it pans out when I actually get there."

It would do Weiss some good taking up a humbler job. The thought of the heiress putting on a smile for rowdy customers was almost ironic enough to pull a smile out of Ren. Almost. But the situation was still too tense for him to laugh at. These were desperate times.

"Don’t mention it." He beckoned for her to follow and opted to show her the nearest subway station. "Like I said, kind of old school. But then again, this city isn’t that big. This’ll get you around if you need to go places." Of course, service to the slums was rather limited. (But why would you even want to go there?)

"Want to see the shopping district or the boutiques?"

Ren's inability to laugh at the situation probably saved him from a good yelling. Even if she did have to get a job she wouldn't be laughed at for trying. (She wouldn't be laughed at all if she could help it.)

"Well is a little low tech but it'll be effective right? That's all that matters. It can't be helped" Weiss replied simply, following after him slowly and glancing at their surroundings. It wasn't at all like back home but did almost feel like walking through a history book... almost. She started studying the subway's map and stops trying to commit some of them to memory. It'd be tedious but worthwhile if they stayed here long.

"...I don't have any money. Why would I want to look at things I can't have? Besides we should be saving up for dust if anything," The heiress pouted. She didn't know if was intentional or not, but it certainly felt like he was rubbing her new found lack of wealth in. "I'll just make do with what I have."

Blink. Girl had more power than he realized, obviously.

"Stupid? No, I’d say it’s pretty creative, considering what there is to work with. But if you can go out over the water… I wonder if you can reach the island out there—the Dragon’s Teeth, I think they call it."

Then again…

"Though. The military might not take too kindly to that, so maybe not."

She brightened up slightly at the reassurance that her plan wasn't totally out there, but immediately perked up at the mention of an island.

"An island? Is there room to train there you think?" An island wouldn't melt, and if she planned her semblances well enough, maybe she could reach it without even a platform! But then he suddenly seemed unsure.

"Why would they be mad? It's an island. There's no secret base there right?"

Not like he could blame her. From one city to another, he was still lamenting the lack of greenery to relax in. But hey, could only work with what you had, right?

At the mention of an idea, though, he arched a brow.

"Oh? What do you have in mind?" Not that he had any idea what she meant by dust, but he had learned not to ask when it came to things like this.

"Well I don't know how long it'll last in this but.... I can freeze a platform of ice and try to train there. It's kind of my only option at this point."

"It'd have to be off and away from the beach but I think my semblance can get me there on the platform and back with little issue...It doesn't sound like a completely stupid idea... right?"

"The problem with us all being crammed into a place like this, I’m afraid." Nothing but close quarters or crowded streets to work with, really. He let out a sigh.

"There… is also the desert beyond the wall. But those demons are nothing to sneeze at. At the very least, you shouldn’t go out there alone."

"There really is no breathing room here! How can people just live like this?" She pouted a wee bit over-dramatically, stomping her foot in protest.

"I heard about them yeah. I'm used to fighting monsters, but I have no idea how those thing stack up in comparison. Tsk... We're stranded; a desert's on one side and the other side is the ocean..." She suddenly drifted off in a train of thought."

"Though.... now that I think about it, there might be one way... It'll deplete some of already sparse dust resource but...."

Alignment, Jaded, Touch

What would be their D&D alignment? How might it come into play?

Lawful good. She isn't necessarily good for the sake of being good, but she does want to help people. She's also quick to take the law's side against the white fang even though they do have legitimate reasons for doing some of the things they do.

Do they buy into the “happily ever after” ideal? What’s their standard?'

I think she wishes it was true and yearns for it, but she's also firmly grounded because of her life so far. She's trained and had to deal with her father's expectations, and knows that it's very difficult or impossible for everyone who deserves a chance or a nice life to get one. She clings onto what she has, her wealth and her training, scared that it could be somehow taken away while wanting something less shallow like real relationships with friends and happiness from that.

 How do they handle contact? Is their personal bubble big?

Do not touch her unless she knows you. Even then she has to kind of sort of like you and there's always a limit to how much contact she can take and for how long.
