I am Brynne, the eldest of the Fae. I live amongst humans as a seller of magical items, components and books. I am the Illusionist, born of magic itself. Remember, my shop is Neutral Ground. “Oh.. it’s just a habit.” He smiles a bit, it’s always amuses him how quick people are to tell him to drop the title. He glances around quietly, not looking at anything in particular before actually truly turning his attention to her. “Actually I wanted to know if you knew anything, or knew anyone who knew anything about demon curses…”

"I do as a matter of fact. I also have quite the extensive book collection, which might help you more." She smiles pleasantly at him. "I do not have the time really to explain to you everything the books could, but you are welcome to ask questions about what the books say."

Life is Tiring

“We need to talk.” With just a brief glance she could see Bry was worried. About what she wasn’t sure. Probably that they were going to break up or something ridiculous like that. The thought forced a quiet, breathy chuckle out of her and she patted the mattress in an invitation.

“I’m sorry, just, i-it’s just something you need to be aware of. Nothing big.” She was just losing sleep due to insomnia and nightmares. And her magic because her energy was gone. But honestly it wasn’t that big of a deal, the house had only locked her out because she hadn’t had enough magic to get in one time! Really, it would pass. It wasn’t that big of a deal at all.

And if she had no intention of mentioning her brief bought of heavy drinking while Bry had been away… Well, that certainly wasn’t an issue either.

Brynne hides her hands in the voluminous folds of her skirt to hide how hard she's clenching her hands in worry. She wants to reach out but she doesn't know if that is quiet appropriate. "You can tell me anything, love. I have never given you reason to doubt thus." She feels her mouth tremble slightly, but she can't tell if it would be a smile or a frown.

She waits. For Avery, she would wait forever.

He must have gotten lost again. This wasn’t exactly where he was intending to end up, or at least he didn’t think it was. A shop though? Theta was fond of shops, really the boy was fond of anything new or strange. So long as it was exciting.

He steps forward, grinning a bit. “Truly an honestly lost, but that’s normal. I’m Theta Sigma, or well.. just Theta really. `Least that’s what everyone calls me. What do you sell here exactly m’lady?”

"Just Brynne, is fine." She only allows such titles while in Faerie where she is someone important. "As for my wares, I do dabble in most things. Just ask and I might have it." The truth of the matter is that 'lost' items find their way into her shop and someone always comes looking for said item eventually. It is very likely that, somewhere, she'll have what Theta needs.

Avery hummed happily at the warmth, leaning against the shorter woman as they walked. “It’s beautiful, my d-darling,” she murmered. ” And you even more so.”  It was sappy and cliche, even Avery knew that, but it seemed… apt. Besides, she needed a little sappy, a little cliche. They both did.

Brynne wonders if it's possible for her face to hurt from smiling so much. She sets the basket down and lays out the blanket neatly, silent. She sits neatly on one side, smoothing her skirt, before she reaches up with a mischievous glint in her eye. She drags Avery down on top of her with a laugh and kisses whatever she can reach.

Running a dusting cloth over shelves that have been temporarily vacated of their merchandise one at a time is often therapeutic for Brynne. It's something she doesn't have to waste her magic on, something to take her mind off of her problems. Sometimes she gets so engrossed in it that she loses track of time. This time she doesn't hear the bell on her door chime.

She does, however, feel the aura of someone new entering the shop and she spins around, long curling hair spinning about her like her skirts. "Hello," she says almost breathlessly from being caught unawares. "Welcome to Prior to the Illusion. How may I help you today?"

Brynne looks up from the basket of items she is placing on a shelf, small shiny trinkets for catching the audiences eyes and vanishing. "Hello, welcome to Prior to the Illusion. How may I assist you?"

Tony eyed things on the shelves, smiling to himself as he finished his walkthrough. “Interesting little shop,” he commented as he made his way back toward the front.

"I do what I can, Mr Stark." As if she wouldn't recognize him. It's hard not to see his face on magazines and billboards. She may not venture out of the shop too often, but she is highly observant.

“If you say so.” Aziraphale wasn’t trying to be contrary. He had been around for some six thousand plus years. He’d seen a lot. But he’d never met anyone quite like Crowley, nor had he seen moods quite like Crowley’s. Not to mention that this mood was…darker. Different.

Brynne just nods decisively and continues to walk down the sidewalk, following Aziraphale's lead. She'd only visited the demon once with Avery before and for all she knew, they could have moved while she was gone.
