I decided to attempt the Foundations for Families Challenge myself! Here's the first household, the Barkworths. I plopped them on Foundation 1.

Key points: A log cabin in a hiking area with a big fireplace, decorated with plenty of plants and home-made quilts. I kept thinking of this as a vacation home, even though that wasn't necessarily the brief, so there aren't really many skilling objects or places to entertain here. All the more reason to visit a library, I guess!

The conservatory offers a stunning view of their property and small pond, and ironically though the brief requested a "simple" bathroom theirs ended up being the biggest of all four houses. I instead interpreted "simple" as "rustic", so they don't have a shower, just a tub.

The bedroom is decorated with more quilts, including one on the bed. I wonder if Meadow quilted them herself.

Here's the floorplan, showing how it fits on the foundation. I haven't playtested it yet, but I really love how the decorations all came together. My favourite part is probably the (non-functional) shelf bench under the living room window.
