“Flower Tan Lines”, a mini printmaking session by my sister and I. We used NaturePrint paper, and sifted through my pressed flower collection for delicate silhouettes and subtle shapes.

All in all it was a really neat and inexpensive way to spend a sunny Friday afternoon, and a great way to add color and warmth to Winter... can’t wait for Springs return and summers reign 🌿💐

For a simple hand salve:

Beeswax ………… 2 pt

Shea Butter ……1 pt

Almond Oil …… 1 tbsp

Essential Oil ……15-20 drops

Dried Herbs …… 1/2 tsp

Heat wax, Shea butter, & oil in a double boiler on low heat. Once melted, stir in desired essential oils. Pour into a tin, & add the dried herbs as a garnish, waiting until the salve is nearly set.

The recipe varies depending on the size of your intended container. Essential oil is optional depending on your ailment or aromatherapy needs. For dryer skin- or for intended use as a foot cream- add more Shea butter. The almond oil can be substituted for any oil of your choice such as Sunflower, Olive, Coconut, etc. Herb-infused oils are also a great add in, solar infused or otherwise.

A peek at my mini herb cabinet... I keep incense, herbs, dried flowers, & spare candles here. This year I set the intention to work more with flowers & herbs! I’ve been making candles, herbal salves & oils, and body butters... can’t wait to share 🌿🥀
