Eridian Headcanon #I (On Cuteness)

My Personal Headcanon™ is that like Humans, Eridians have a ingrained instinctual sense of what is 'cute' - that, also like us, is tied to the similarity to the appearance and/or the behaviour of their offspring (which I will call 'pebbles' from this point on.)

So what if... humans do a few things that are adorable to Eridians...? Think about it! There are fully grown creatures that we find adorable because they do something that humans find inherently cute! Heck - look at this fandom - a lot (most) of us probably want to be best friends with a ROCK SPIDER ALIEN. (I know I do!) So imagine: Grace: *Bumps into table for the 1000th time like a pebble learning to get their footing* Grace: *Humming unbeknownst to him an Eridian phrase he heard Rocky say once and sounds like a pebble trying to learn to speak* Grace: *snoring which happens to sound just like pebble happy-rumbling-purr sounds*

Grace: *tapping random rhythm not unlike a pebble trying to get a good view of something* Grace: *Curling as close to Rocky as possible through the xenonite barrier like a pebble seeking comfort* All of which would remind any Eridian of a pebble, and so Rocky finds it all adorable. Also: Rocky: Friend-Grace is gross leaky space blob, statement! Grace: ??? *Was just minding his own business when he randomly sneezed* *sounded just like a pebble 'sneezing'* (Translation: You're adorable - how dare you)

All inphernals are born with a Spark—an overwhelming essence that powers them and their gear. However, all Sparks are not made equal.

Sparks are on a scale of intensity, starting at a Weak Spark, leading to a Normal Spark, then a Strong Spark, and finally, an Unstable Spark.

Your gear grows with you as you age. However, your Spark's intensity can absolutely affect the size of it.

Weak Sparks: They tend to be late gear summoners and may struggle using their gear as intended in general. They may also be spawned especially weak, needing as much support as possible to be on the same level of strength as their peers.

Normal Sparks: These inphernals typically have the knowledge of their gear and its capabilities immediately and are stable power wise. They're more capable of surviving on their own after spawning.

Strong Sparks: An inphernal with a Strong Spark tends to have adult-sized gears as they spawn, they'll have significant difficulty using them due to this. As well as that, their gear is unstable power wise, it can absolutely seriously harm the wielder and others around them at such an early start of their lives.

Unstable Sparks: These kinds of Sparks are limited to Deities. Unstable Sparks can and will cause environmental damage from its presence alone, as well as do significant biological modifications to the inphernal (as seen with Firebrand's hands and Venomshank's ferality). They can also cause Spark Ruptures, such as severing a Spark from a Spawnpoint through unique means; this can be reversed depending on how a Deity feels. As well as this, they have great gear instability which can cause high levels of damage to a wide scope of land.

There are more to Sparks that I'll touch on later, but I think this should suffice for now.
