Holy hell!
Going by some cryptic tweets by Nigel Godrich a few weeks ago, it'll be dropping this month - so Tuesday at the latest.
GET HYPE!
This live action Destiny trailer was pretty cool...
...and then Led Zeppelin kicked in. Then it became amazing.
Hyped for next week!
Devin Townsendās highly-anticipated Z2 double album will be released on October 27, heās revealed.
God bless you, Mr. Townsend. God bless you and your unconventional music production and promotion style.
Thought we weren't going to see this until early next year!
Because one Assassin's Creed game every year just wasn't enough.
Does look intriguing though. Shame it's on last-gen only however.

This is amazing.
On the night of Monday 28th July, 2014, Sony and Naughty Dog arranged for a dramatic showing of key scenes from The Last of Us. Featuring the full key cast directed by Game Director Neil Druckmann, with live musical performances by composer Gustavo Santaolalla, the night was the first time anything like it has been attempted in the world of video games.
You can watch the (almost) full performance here [skip to 30mins in].
As an added bonus for the theater-goers, Druckmann introduce a special never-before-seen scene that serves as an epilogue to the game's story. It was not caught on camera, and he told the audience it would not be repeated ever again, in any format. From reports, this is what the scene entails:
Some time after the end of the game, Joel and Ellie are living out their lives at Tommy's Dam.
Ellie sits alone in her room, listening to music.
Joel enters, complaining to Ellie that his brother is trying to set him up with a woman named Esther. Ellie acknowledges him but only barely. She is distant towards him, presumably conflicted over her relationship with him after the events in the game's finale.
Noticing her dismissive attitude, Joel tells her he has a surprise for her. He reveals a guitar. Ellie still shrugs him off, so he proceeds to play and sing a song especially for her.
Ellie noticeably lightens up, and Joel seals the deal by telling her a joke he shared with Esther earlier; "What's the worst thing about eating a clock? ...It's time consuming."
They laugh, and Joel leaves.
Ellie picks up the guitar, pauses for a moment, then strikes a chord.
End.
Good stuff. Druckmann said it was meant to be seen as a "fairwell" to these characters, and I think it provides a nice character moment to somewhat resolve the ambiguity of the ending (not that it needed resolving, of course - I still maintain that ending is perfect).
Ā I think it's great that we've come to a point where we can do this sort of thing for games. We could get into the whole "games as art" debate about the whole thing, but it's been done to death. It's fantastic that we can take these stories and explore them in new and exciting ways. This was all a bit of a bizarre experiment, but I think it worked. I wonder what's next...
Also, I'm so happy they performed the "alternate ending" of the game. Hilarious!
MY BODY IS READY.
Holy crap, this would be perfect casting. Between Williams playing Ellie, Sam Raimi producing and Neil Druckmann himself penning the script, this could be a really special adaptation. Now cast Josh Brolin as Joel, please.
Headlines don't get any better than this.
If I were to start a band, they would be called the Sexual Space Geckos.
Almost as good as Teesside Tin Tin.
"Where are we going?"
"Into darkness."
The new Doctor has a dark streak in the launch trailer for Doctor Who series 8.
August 23rd can't come soon enough!
So good. Totally nails Jon Snow & Oberyn!
Were we just being blind when we thought GTA V looked great on last-gen? Iām not usually one for these āremasteredā/ādefinitive editionsā companies seem to be churning out on the new consoles, but HOLY SHIT, the improvement in this is astronomical.
Check the car interior comparison shot at 2:00 to see what I mean. Mindblowing.
Played the hell out of the game on PS3 already, but will be picking this up on PS4 for sure.
Microsoft E3 2014 Press Conference: My Thoughts
Microsoft had a lot to prove going into their media briefing at E3 this year. The company and its new console has come under a lot of fire for confusing business practices and alienating the core gamers who make up a bulk of its key demographic.
Thankfully, their offering here was a marked improvement. There were no long spiels on region-specific TV features and sports apps in sight, with a clear focus on games, games and more games. Exclusives, big-name triple-A titles, a plethora of indie titles that could almost rival Sony's ever-growing indie line-up. It was an impressive showing.
Really my biggest disappointments were a lack of Quantum Break, which is easily my most anticipated Xbox One exclusive, and no really big surprises, with the return of Crackdown being the biggest left-field appearance of the show.
It was a strong and consistent conference, but was lacking something of a "holy crap" moment that a big surprise reveal or more engaging gameplay demo could have provided.
Solid performance, and it certainly laid the gauntlet down for Sony. Could they keep up with such a relentless onslaught of games?
RATING: B+
And now a run-down of what I thought were the best games shown during the conference. These are the announcements/gameplay demos that made my jaw hit the floor and cemented themselves a place in my pre-order list immediately.
Sunset Overdrive
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS_i2HTJp2o
Loved this from the moment it was revealed last year, but this extended gameplay demo and 4th-wall-breaking trailer really sold me on it. The movement and combat is crazily fluid and I love the colourful art style.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BivVXw-NLTw
Was already completely in love with this game, having really loved The Witcher 2 and been bowled over by the trailers released so far. This extended demo was a real treat though.
Halo: The Masterchief Collection
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mui5LuTQReg
Holy-mother-of-content Batman! Actually, we'll get to him later, but the newly announced Halo collection is bursting at the seams with classic FPS goodness. Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. Every single multiplayer map and mode across the entire saga is available from the get-go, too. All for £50. DING-DING-DING! SOLD!
Yes this is better. Much better. Look guys, he's fine! Really!
Everything is fine.
