ABOUT MAFIA / ITALIAN MAFIA.
I’m trying to make a PSA even if I’m not really good with words, but I hope this will be helpful!!
The MAFIA TROPE. More than often, this topic is treated like an only fictional thing & I feel many, many people don’t actually consider that it’s a real thing & take for granted all the stereotypes they see in movies / animes without doing any research. It’s a topic that really shouldn’t be romanticised BUT it can be good when written in the right way & doing all the researches that are needed! DON’T WORRY, even many italian people don’t actually know much about mafia, or simply ignore it, but it’s very radicated in the history of Italy. AND, right now, it’s very different from what was shown in movies like The Godfather, not to mention that it’s nothing like the anime with the Vongola family. But I digress.
Something I BEG not to do is use the mafia trope just for ship or angst fuel. It’s a real thing that harms real people everyday, so please, please be respectful. Because mafia REALLY is dangerous & violent & terrible, they harm any kind of people and it’s really hard to fight it. Do researches if your character is going to get involved in this kind of organization, and think of all the consequences.

I know I stopped roleplaying and all, but it makes me really sad that people seem to have forgot my existance. Not much I can do about it, though, it's just sad.
