I personally think that orcs in fantasy media have become way too watered down. They were created by J.R.R. Tolkien to be a pure evil, and brutish race, representing the horrors of war. Many people have tried to give orcs more nuance by being like "what if they weren't that evil" and then fantasy writers just kept watering them down until they just in alot of instances became regular guys with green skin, and i just feel like thats the wrong way to do it. If you want to get orcs nuance, instead of giving a monster morals, maybe try to explore why they are evil.

Imagine this. Orcs are born with a very different physical, and mental biology from humans. Not only are their brains smaller than a human's, but they are also born without the part of the brain that makes them experience empathy. Both male and female orcs are also born with an absurdly high amount of testosterone, and along with them being carnivorous, is why they are so aggressive, and violent. Orc society also prioritizes strength and deadlyness over everything. They kill for food, they kill for sport, one orc might even kill another, if they think they are too weak, or if they dont like each other. Orcs never questions if killing is wrong, because they literally lack the ability to see the world from any other perspective than their own. There is one way to get an orc as an "ally".

-if you are stronger than the orc

-if an alliance with you somehow benefits the orc more than an alliance with other orcs

-if you can continuously keep the orc in check

-if the orc is still allowed to kill people while allying with you

If you cannot forfill all 4 of these requests, the orc will stap you in the back

This might be a crazy thing to say, but have you noticed how in some pieces of media, the nazis are basically portrayed how alot of fantasy media portrays goblins. Being insanely stupid, and pure evil, but somehow also really good with technology. Of course not all pieces of media portrays either like that, but enough do. One big difference is that I love goblins, and hate nazis

I kinda hate that if im googling something, and there happens to be a movie with the same name as the thing im googling. I was googling the fountain of youth, because I was curious as to where the legend came from, but turns out there is a move with that name, so the only results I got were, fountain of youth cast. Fountain of youth imdb. Fountain of youth on amazon prime. I did find a find a wikipedia page tho, but it was once again a wikipedia page for the fucking movie

Just got the weirdest ear worm, i have ever had. I was baking some cookies, my brain just kept singing "isn't she pretty~ isn't she wonderful~" over and over agian, my first thought then was "why, thank you, brain" then i thought "wait, what song is this, i don't think i have heard it before". Then i googled the words that kept repeating in my brain. Apparently it's from a song named Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, then i listened to it, and it didn't even ring a bell. Not only have i never heard this song before, i am pretty sure i have never heard anything from Stevie Wonder before, but this was a good first impression of his music. Thank you for the recommendation, brain. 7/10

Isn't it kinda a weird that almost every single ending of a popular series, is considered bad nowadays. Tadc, The Boys, Stranger Things, JJK, My Hero Academia, Chainsaw man, etc, are all really hated endings for some reason. I have only seen the tadc and the boys endings, and I actually really liked them, and think they were great conclusions to both show's characters. Sure they didn't really go in the direction I wanted, but I still don't think they were bad. So im kinda wondering if endings are so hated now, simply because they rarely end how fans want them to, instead of because they are actually bad. Or is there more to it than that?

I usually don't like gatekeeping, but i feel like we should start gatekeeping TADC, because I HATE, HATE, HATE what the TADC fandom has become, and same with the glitch fandom in general. There are people who have been in the glitch fandom for alot less time than me, thinking that they own the shows, and even its creators. I was there from the BEGINNING. Not only that, i was there BEFORE the beginning, and do you see me acting like an entitled toddler? No you don't, because i know that just because the creators have an online presence, doesn't mean that they have to listen to your bullshit! Tell you what, you should not be allowed to speak about Glitch Productions in any capacity, if you can't tell me, the name of the first web series the creators of glitch made, the name of the channel they originally posted it on, and watched the first 10 videos on that channel

Actually I will talk about the allegations that Glitch Productions has been abusing its workers. Intimidating their workers out of sick days and bullying their female employees. Someone has to talk about how this indie company that has been preaching about being better than big corporations are allegedly doing the same shit. This is illegal btw and I won’t be surprised if they are under investigation soon.

This isn’t even talking about how they hired Jschlatt the guy who defending Kirsche (his employee) that was promoting “Great replacement theory” (the theory that the white race is dying out and the only way to stop it is by getting rid of people of color).

They also hired Michaela Laws, the woman who voiced Ayano Aishi from Yandere simulator and did multiple voice lines where she pretended to be an underage girl sexually violating other underage girls in her basement.

This isn’t even getting into Gooseworx tweeting that she would replace Shadman, the convicted child predator that drew child sexual assault material of real life, toddlers. I don’t even like Keemstar but this sick mf(Shadman) drew stuff of Keemstar’s toddler daughter. I don’t know how someone can even joke about that especially when they were never a victim of this man.

This is all stuff you can look up and if you still support them that is on you, but I will never stop talking about this. Something is deeply wrong with this company and people need to wake up

Ok. I genuinely did not know about this. And it was not at all what i was referring to. First, i will say that you can't really fault glitch for hiring a voice actor that previously voiced a yandere, she was just doing her job, doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to get any other work. Second, i have heard about Kirsche. That woman is genuinely insane. She did not, however work for Jschlatt, nor did Jschlatt defend any of the things she said. She was sponsored by gamers subbs, who late apologized for sponsering those people, from what i could gather, but yeah, the worker abuse is still not great

First things first, Michaela Laws wasn’t just “being yandere”. She was voice acting a minor that was sexually harassing other minors. She worked with Yandev for years, watching this pedo predator cultivate a discord for of minors that worshipped him, using her voice. She was an adult during this and she should have left the project the moment she saw him doing that.

Jschlatt is the owner of Gamersupps and before they sponsor anyone they do background checks. Gamersupps sponsored despite the fact that it takes 5 seconds of research to find out what kind of person she is. She drew herself as Trump getting shot 😭 There is no way someone accidentally sponsor someone like that. He apologized but it was only because of the backlash. If no one said anything, nothing would change. We have to speak up or these people don’t care.

My point isn’t to come at you. I have just been seeing a lot of people making posts like yours, telling people to isolate themselves and defend this corporation while not knowing the full story. You and many other people are active steering people away from valid concerns. I only wish you show this same energy for when you see someone calling Glitch Productions innocent and calling everyone else the problem because that’s reductive and we need to spread the word so people know what they’re supporting.

Im kinda sick of people saying "Immortality would suck, because blah blah blah blah blah" you have probably heard it a million times before too, but they are always only focusing on the negatives. There are also negatives to mortal life you know. So i want to list some of the positives

- You got all the time in the world to litteraly whatever you want. You can procastinate all you want. You can have time to watch every movie, play every video game, read every book in the world

-you can survive anything. Have you ever even thought about all the things you you were scared to do because of the fear of death. You litteraly don't have to be scared of anything anymore. Just imagine all the cool things you could do

-you get to see the future. You get to see society evolve and change. Have you never been curious about what future historians will think about the current age, because guess what, you get to see that too

-you don't get old. You stay young, and beautiful forever. You won't experience you own body and mind start to fail you, and decay while you are still alive

And most importantly

-you are not going to die

I would say that i play alot of video games. I have been playing video games, basically my whole life, but i hate that no matter how many video games i have played, there are always like 64 more genre defining masterpieces, that everyone has played except me, and it annoys me to no end for some reason. Especially when some of those games are abandonware now. I just want to experience peak like everyone else

So, i just had a talk with my sister about the Clayface trailer, since she likes horror, and i like comics, and it got me thinking that i really like his design in BTAS. Specifically his "skin" colour, because it's alot lighter than other depictions of the character (i know this sounds racist, but hear me out) because in most depictions he basically turns into a brown clay monster, while BTAS Clayface is the same colour as he was when he was human. I think that just that little detail makes the design so much more effective. Like the clay feels like its part of him, it feels less like clay, and more like his own melted flesh and skin (which it's supposed to be). Idk, i hope that made sense

There are alot of things i dont like with how aliens are portrayed in fiction, but my biggest nit pick is that every. single. one. is humanoid. Like there aren't even other humanoids on earth. Do you expect me to believe that that every single intelligent alien species looks like that? Oh, and don't even get me started on kryptonians. It rarely completely takes me out of a story, but it always kinda bugs me

Like, look at how tiny my daughter is! I wish she could have stayed like that for longer than a montage. Why did they even make them grow up so fast, but age normally. It doesn't make sense
