"Would you tell me if you weren’t?"
"Yes." No. "If it was dire need -- You'd be the first to know."
"Does that mean I can’t call you Mother Goose, then? And no, it was a second year trying to change a toad into a goblet. But, the spell hit my book instead…it wasn’t pretty."
"If it can be avoided -- lets." He chuckled and leaned his head back, but looked back at her. " -- how fun. Did you fix it?"
"If it was James and Sirius -- contrary to belief -- I'm not their mother... er, lovely as Mrs. Potter is.:
Hestia’s smile only grew at the sight of Remus’. “How about we take an hour break, do whatever you like, and then go back to whatever revision we need to do. Is that a reasonable deal?”
"More than reasonable." He nodded and scratched the side of his neck before he gestured to her. "We'll do what you like, though. I feel it's only fair as I've interrupted."
"You’re more mum than I am…wait the furry little problem?"
"Says the one who's fretting. -- .... yes. I'll be fine though. Honest."
Oh, I couldn’t. N-Not that I haven’t earned it, obviously. It’s just, well, they’re yours.
"To be honest, offering one isn't that much of a loss. -- I insist."
Oh.. was this yours?
I can think of a few.
"--oh can you?"
"Worrying is what I do, though."
"Think Wormtail got it wrong when he called Dorcas the mum. -- It's been worse.""
"Remus?! Lord Merlin, what happened to you?"
"Just a scrape, Lily. -- er, all taken care of."
"Just a scrape -- see? I even already had it tended to; no need to worry."
Oh.. was this yours?
Um Dorcas is always mom.
"Well -- I see no reason to drag Dorcas into this."
"With goldfish?" Doe smiled, laughing softly. "No, I don’t want to turn you into a frog…not today at least. I need help with the theories, I’ve gone over them about forty thousand times and I still don’t get it."
"Seems like an awfully timid pond. No sense of adventure?" He asked with a small, playful quirk of his lips, then glanced down to the books. "It's a bit tricky to get the hang of. Memorizing is simpler if you create a little trick to remember by -- a tune, an acronym."
"No, it’s not a full out salute, I’ve been actually busying myself with school work lately and thought a break would be good for me. And quidditch seemed like the safest bet for me."
"Sounds reasonable." Remus nodded with a hint of a smile across his lips. "I agree really -- about needing a break."
I thought I’d reward myself with a chocolate frog for all of my hard work but they’ve decided to hop off and leave me on my own. Just my luck, eh?
"I've got a few to spare if you still think you've earned it."
"I would hope so," she grinned. "Have you tackled the potions essay yet?"
"I've got it started. Been a bit focused on helping others with theirs. -- You? Is all this taking a break, I mean, or really a full out salute to schoolwork?"
"As long as you’re sure. I don’t want to keep you up if you’re tired."
"Transfiguration. Apparently the ability to transfigure a person into a frog is important to our futures."
"I'm awake." He promised.
"How else is one supposed to fill their backyard pond?" He smiled slightly and glanced down at his book. "What exactly are you having trouble with? I suppose a live model would be useful, but, er, forgive me if turning into a frog isn't something I particularly fancy today."
No, no…you’re the bookworm and Wormtail is obviously the devilishly handsome one. I’m, of course, the well-behaved angel of the group.
"Oh, clearly. Which leaves Prongs to be the lovable goofball, I'm assuming. That, or the bloke smart enough to misplace his wand."
