Now that I have had a chance to try out all of the products in my #FrostyVoxBox, I'll give them all a quick review (Even though I have previously mentioned 1 or 2 of the products on here).
No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advances Serum: There was only enough in the little packet for about 4 uses, so I didn't see any results that would come from long term use. I did, discover though, that my face doesn't hate it. This actually says a lot for me since I tend to have very sensitive skin that breaks out from just about anything new. It went on smoothly and powdery when it dried. It didn't make my skin greasy or shiny like a lot of products do, and it didn't clog up my pores. So far, so good.
NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum: I don't normally wear lipstick a lot, I'm more of a chapstick kind of girl, myself. This is mostly because of 2 things: Dry skin & lips (need moisturizing chapstick) and the hassle to make sure I keep putting it on (I only put stuff on my lips when they feel dry & like they need it). I tried out the Sugar Plum a few times when I got dressed up (Christmas, Concert, fancy dinner) and when I did wear it, I liked it. It was a subtle color with a little shimmery/metallic to it. It wasn't sticky like some lipstick can be. I well definitely use this more often for when I dress up!
Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea: First things first, SURE WISH THIS WASN'T DECAF! Sure, it's a good tea to drink in the evening when you are sitting in front of the christmas tree relaxing, but this would have been even better if it had the caffeine boost to get me started in the morning. Flavor was great, I could definitely drink this more often. I'll have to look for the full strength caffeinated version!
EcoTools Hair Brush: Well, Influenster got it wrong for me this time. They sent me the brush to add volume... I sure don't need any of that with my thick curly hair. I tried it out once, and decided to pass it on to my 13 year old step-daughter. She loves it! She has long stick straight hair and it works great for her! She says it makes her hair feel soft & silky... that's about as much as a review as I'll get out of her. It does make her hair look nice too!
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner: I am so torn on this product. I love the way it goes on, nice & smooth. I love they way it looks like a liquid but easy to put on like a pencil. I love the way it stays on all day. I HATE the way that it doesn't come off!! I can't believe how much I had to scrub on my eyes each time I wore this. I have never had such a problem getting any waterproof eye makeup off! I will probably only wear this occasionally when I want to make sure my makeup looks good, it definitely won't be a daily wear product!
Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: Not Impressed! It didn't even take off the Rimmel Eye Liner (above) that it came with. I make my own homemade eye makeup remover that costs pennies and works much better than this. I felt like I had to use a lot of the product and scrub a lot, where I don't have to do that with my normal stuff. I won't be buying this product, and I'll probably pass the rest of this free bottle on to my step-daughter to try.
Fruit Vines Bites: These are DELISH! I shared with my husband & step-daughter. Both of them told me to look for these the next time I go shopping, and they want me to buy the "Big Bag". I agree. This is a very yummy snack. We like convenient easy stuff like this for camping & road trips, so I think we will be adding these to our list of "to go" foods!
McCormick Gourmet Thyme: Unfortunately Thyme has never been one of my favorite seasonings. I'm not sure why, but the flavor just doesn't stick with me right. I didn't personally try it, but I passed it on to a co-worker to try out. She loves it. She said she used it in some of her holiday dinner cooking & it worked great. She highly recommends the McCormick Gourmet line of seasonings. She was impressed that it came free in my Vox Box, but wasn't so impressed that she wanted to join Influenster.
So everyone, there you have it, my FrostyVoxBox review. Some good, some bad. I can't wait to get my next box to try out more things & let you all know what I think of it!
