There was a flash of red hair to her right, making Ninian blink. She wasn’t aware that Eliwood was done with his buisness for the day … Turning to greet him, she paused; the newcomer wasn’t her husband …

"Who are you …?"

Roy and Ria glanced at each other, then at the teal haired woman who addressed them.

"Name’s Roy, ma’am." He replied. "This is my sister Ria."

"Um, hello there…"

"Ah ... Sorry if I sound perplexed, but Roy is my son's nickname." Smiling a bit, Ninian gave them a bow. "I'm Ninian; what brings you here?"

She noticed with interest that both of the twins had orange eyes, so there was at least one easy way to separate them from her husband and son. Unless, of course, they were distant relatives ...

Would ice Dragons even lay eggs? I mean, you guys are from Ilia, which isn't exactly known for being tropical. I imagine that any eggs laid up there would freeze to death within a fortnight.

"Ah ... That is a very fair point. I was so little when the Scouring happened I don't truly recall ... Mother gave birth to my brother and I in human form, I'd believe."

And you and your brother are the only canonical ice dragons to appear ... Frig.

Well, Gardner snakes have their young born live, so I suppose there's precedence for a reptile to give birth to live offspring.

"I would hope so; there isn't much chance of a species surviving if their young were born dead."

"Whoa!" Miki almost leapt out of her skin. She didnt’ hear this woman approach at all; it was like she was a ghost. Hell, she even looked somewhat like one!

"Um… Yes.." her heart hammered in her chest. "I’m trying to get to the city…"

"Hmm? which city are you trying to reach?" Keeping her gentle hand on the other woman's elbow, Ninian smiled. "Are you trying to reach Owlshollow, the border city? Or are you trying to reach Phyrexia?"

Ninian couldn't recall the route to Owlshollow, but she was certain Marcus or one of the other knights could. Phyrexia was the main city in Fief Pherae and a major port, so perhaps she was looking for a ship?

"Ah ..." Flushing a faint bit, the marchioness removed her hand. "Forgive me, I don't know where my manners went." Gripping the edges of her dress, Ninian curtseyed, red eyes watching the silver-haired newcomer. "I'm Ninian, Marchioness of Pherae."

'...Why does she have a sword through her head?' Curious as she spotted the young, flame-haired maiden walking nearby, Ninian began to walk towards her, feet silent once again.

The newcomer's dress was quite elegant, making the marchioness wonder if she was a Countess, or maybe even a runaway princess. Clearing her throat - a trick she had learned from Eliwood - Ninian opened her mouth.

"Excuse me, Milady, but those woods only lead to marshlands and swamps. Can I ask you where you need to go?"

Ninian I don't think that's a common situation for mothers ...
