hey! how is everyone doing? i haven't been on this app for months and with how busy every day gets, i've decided to close my blog.
i'm so grateful for everyone who reads my work and those who tuned in when i was still actively posting. thank you for enjoying my writing and for leaving kind words on my work. yall really gave me a boost in my writing and running this blog allowed me to improve a lot.

hey, i hope everyone is doing well! there are a few requests in my inbox, but i haven't found the time to do any of them :( i really do miss writing, i wish i can find the time to do it again soon.
on another note, i saw txt !!!! they're absolutely amazing oh my god the concert was truly unforgettable. i will remember it for the rest of my life <3 love them so so much
it was like a wave of deja vu hit you as you watched taehyun and hyuka converse a few feet away from you but instead of the warm rays of sunlight hitting his face, it was being illuminated by the enchanting lights set up to complete tonight's mood.
taehyun looked captivating tonight, and a lot of people were visibly swooning over him. you couldn't blame them, you were just as bad as them, maybe even worse.
a lot of things have changed since the last time you were in this position, and you would be lying if you said that you expected it to happen. knowing how it has been since you started pining over taehyun without even getting to know him, you fully expected things would stay the same this year as well.
who knew that you would end up being really close with him?
it was a dangerous move. you felt yourself fall for him as you spent more time and got to know him better. it was difficult not to like taehyun.
truthfully, you still weren't fully ready to confess your feelings, but you needed to do this before you lose the chance. whether he would accept or reject your confession was up to your future self to take care of. right now, you needed more courage.
walking towards the drinks table, a small part of you hoped that the drinks would be spiked. you needed liquid courage to get through the day, but you knew that wasn't possible tonight. eyes were watching the table like a hawk, it would be impossible to tamper with the drinks.
you poured yourself a glass and took a sip, mind still clouded over what you were planning to do.
"are you enjoying the night so far?" you heard a familiar voice beside you, your heart instantly picking up.
you turned to taehyun with a small smile, nodding. "everything looks amazing. all of you outdid yourselves this year,"
your eyes scanned through taehyun's ensemble. he already looked handsome from afar, but he looked even more stunning up close. sometimes you wonder if it really was possible for someone to be as handsome as he is. "you look good," you said nonchalantly.
taehyun visibly flushed at the compliment. "you too. you look really pretty," he shyly said, taken aback at his crush telling him he looked good. a few seconds later, he cleared his throat and spoke, "so, do you have a date for tonight?"
with a sigh, you shook your head. "i'm all alone tonight. i don't know where the hell beomgyu and yeonjun are… probably being their usual extroverted selves," you chuckled as you tried to imagine what they were doing.
"why aren't you being your usual extroverted self?" taehyun asked.
you pursed your lips. "my mind is a bit occupied tonight,"
taehyun hummed. "that won't do. you should enjoy the night too,"
"i will," you defended. "i just have to get through this… predicament and i'll be dancing in no time."
"but i want to dance with you now," he blurted out, making you feel flustered this time.
"god, you're always so straightforward, aren't you?" you laughed nervously while he looked unfazed.
"i am," he affirmed and took a step forward, shortening the space between you. "would you like to dance with me?"
as if you were hypnotized by the low tone of his voice and the way he was looking at you, you slowly nodded. he held out his hand and guided you towards the dance floor.
you could see all eyes were on you, scattered whispers could be heard around the school gym. it was already unusual for taehyun to attend the event but to also dance with someone? it intrigued your fellow schoolmates.
it made you feel uneasy to be at the center of attention without meaning to and taehyun took notice of this, both the shift in the mood and how tense you became. during the weeks of hanging out with you, he can easily tell when you're comfortable and when you're not.
"hey," he said softly, capturing your attention. you hummed in response, waiting for him to continue.
"don't think about the others and just focus on me. focus on us dancing and let yourself relax," he gently said, holding your waist. you wrapped your arms around his neck and started swaying to the slow melody playing.
"it just feels weird… i can't help but feel their eyes on me," you muttered.
"just keep looking at me and i'll make you forget everything else."
you gulped. at this point, you felt like you couldn't contain yourself anymore. taehyun's way with words has always left you blushing and your heart racing, but it seemed like it was worse today than usual. it was not what you had planned, but maybe it was time for you to tell taehyun what he makes you feel before you end up speechless for the whole night.
you inhaled deeply. "do you have any idea what you do to me, taehyun?"
the seriousness of your voice took taehyun aback. he blinked at you, confused. "what do you mean? did i do something wrong?"
you giggled and shook your head. he was as clueless as ever.
"i like you, taehyun," you boldly said. finally, you were able to mutter the words you had been wanting to say for a long time. there was no backing out now and no matter what response you would get, you would accept it. what matters is that you finally told him those three words.
taehyun still looked a bit lost. "i know. you said you liked me because i was a great friend. why are you so serious right now?"
you could feel your stress level slowly rising, but you tried to keep your composure. this was an important moment for you and you didn't want to ruin it.
"i like you more than a friend would like another friend," you started, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"i like you in a way that i want to hug you tightly every time i see you. i like you in a way that i want to hold your hand. i like you in a way that i want to watch ghibli movies with you while cuddling. i've liked you for so long that i don't think i can hide it anymore,"
taehyun stayed silent, still swaying with you and you took it as a sign to continue speaking your mind.
"i never thought i would become a friend to you and i'm so glad that we got close like this. i only used to admire you from afar but actually meeting you, being able to hang out with you, it just added to the reasons why i like you so much,"
"it's okay if you don't like me back. i've spent years one-sidedly pining over you, so i can handle a rejection. i just wanted to let you know that this is what i feel before i explode," you tried joking to lighten up the confession but deep inside, you were swimming in anxiety. you couldn't believe that you were actually doing this.
"years?" taehyun sputtered out. you nodded. "three years to be exact,"
his eyebrows knit together and he bit his lip. "i'm sorry, i feel terrible now…"
you could feel your heart crack at that statement, yet you still sent him a smile. "it's okay, you didn't know. you don't have to feel sorry because you don't like me back."
"no, that's not why i feel sorry," he shook his head. "i'm sorry that it only took me recently to like you back when you've already liked me for so long. i should have gotten closer to you earlier than i did,"
you blinked at him. "you… what?" you could feel your heart racing faster than ever. did he really say what he meant to say?
taehyun stopped swaying and pulled you in closer, tightening his grip on your waist. "you know, i planned on confessing my feelings for you today too," he chuckled. "it's my turn to tell you how i feel, would that be okay?"
you could only nod in response, frozen. he really wasn't kidding when he said he could make you forget everything else because right now, it was as if you were the only two people in the room. all you could think about was taehyun taehyun taehyun and you couldn't look away from his eyes one bit. he was driving you mad.
"i didn't really know what it meant to like someone, until hyuka practically lectured me about it and how what i was feeling was me liking you," he softly chuckled.
"all i knew was that you make me feel happy just by seeing you happy and that i could listen to you ramble about a movie for hours and still be interested in everything that you say. i knew that i really like being with you, you make me forget about everything else that stresses me out. i thought that was a normal thing to feel for a friend, but it also didn't feel right just thinking about you as a friend,"
"i also want to do those things that you said. hug you, hold your hand, watch a movie and cuddle with you, kiss every part of your face until you get sick of me. i'm not really good at romance, but i will try for you. i really like you and i want to be with you."
taehyun thought that the smile you were sporting now was the most illuminating smile he has ever seen. he wanted to see more of it. finally, he was able to tell you how he felt for you and his heart started leaping the moment he found out that his feelings were reciprocated.
no more was the weight on both of your shoulders. there was no need for hiding now. after taehyun said his piece, it was as if the world looked brighter. you still couldn't believe that taehyun liked you back and you couldn't even try to hide how happy this exchange made you feel.
you practically leaped forward, hugging him tight and he hugged you tighter. both of you were the happiest you have ever been.
you no longer cared about what other people were probably thinking. all you could focus on was the man of your dreams and how your hearts were connected, beating as one.

it was difficult for someone like taehyun to process his emotions in such a way, but he was smart and he soon came to a conclusion.
he had feelings for you.
it took a long video call with hyuka and days of pondering before he accepted the fact that the abnormal beating of his heart whenever he was around you wasn't because of a medical condition he didn't know he had. it was simply his heart being happy in your presence.
it was weird for him; he had never thought of a person this much. he thought about you from the moment he woke up, to the minute he laid his head on his pillow. he wondered if you were having a good day, if you were sleeping the same time as he did, if you were flaunting that contagious and stunning smile that he couldn't get enough of.
everyday, he looked forward to seeing you or just merely getting a glimpse of you while roaming around, doing his school president duties. he had been feeling a bit disappointed during the past few days though. because of the preparation for the valentine's dance tomorrow, he was ten times more busy and had to miss eating lunch with you and the rest of the group.
taehyun would constantly grumble to soobin about how that was the only time he could be with you for a long time without anyone suspecting anything, and soobin would laugh in amusement. it wasn't always that he could see taehyun like this.
it was a shock for the whole student body (except soobin) when they found out that taehyun was attending the dance today. everyone knew he would skip social events like this, but things were different this time. he was actually excited for the dance this year, especially with you in his life now.
taehyun being taehyun, he had a plan that he hoped would be successful. he planned on confessing to you tomorrow.
his heart fluttered everytime he would think about it, him feeling nervous as the day slowly ends. this was the first time he would ever do something like this and if he was being honest, he didn't know what exactly he was going to say. he thought of writing down what he was going to say, but that wouldn't be natural or romantic. he also didn't want to just give you a letter, he wanted you to hear it from himself.
ah, whatever. taehyun rarely approached things with his guts, but this could be an exception. maybe spontaneity would be a good thing for once.
"are you excited for tomorrow?" soobin nudged him, shaking him out of his thoughts.
taehyun inhaled deeply. "surprisingly, yeah. it's the first time i'm actually going to experience what i planned," he chuckled, and so did soobin.
"who knew y/n was the only person who could get you to attend the dance," soobin teased, nudging taehyun even more. taehyun rolled his eyes, biting back a smile.
"it's not just because of y/n,"
"you literally can't lie to save your life," taehyun only raised his hands in defeat, walking away from soobin to check on the other people putting up decorations if they needed any help.
soobin let out another chuckle, shaking his head. if only taehyun knew that you felt the same way and was probably ten times more nervous than he was because tomorrow, you will finally take the risk and tell taehyun about your feelings for him before someone else tries to capture his heart.

you let out a giggle as you watched the ig story taehyun posted minutes ago and the sound didn't go unnoticed by the man himself. "what are we giggling about?" he asked.
you lifted your gaze to meet his wide and curious eyes which was an adorable sight. you fought the urge to coo at him. you shook your head. "it's nothing. i just saw the story you posted,"
"oh," he chuckled. "well, this really isn't part of the plan."
you nodded with a smile. "i know, but you were the one who went off-course," you teased.
taehyun rolled his eyes playfully. "whatever," he murmured, a smile threatening to form on his lips.
as soon as kiki's delivery service was done, taehyun remained silent for a few minutes. then, as if there was a switch that was flipped in his brain, he started verbalizing all of his thoughts and observations with the sparkliest eyes you have ever seen.
your heart was immensely happy to see and hear how much he enjoyed your favorite movie and how he gathered similar views and reactions as you.
it turns out, you didn't need to help him much in making his essay. he only made an outline of his work so far, but he already noted all of the important scenes and lessons taken from the movie. he would ask for your insights and note them down as well and you were also able to remind him of details he forgot about.
when he finished, he thanked you while you sheepishly told him that it wasn't a lot compared to what he wrote on his own. taehyun reassured you that you contributed a lot to his work and would tell the professor so you could also get credit one way or another (to which you declined, but taehyun has always been stubborn).
to your surprise, taehyun suggested watching another ghibli movie and you practically lit up in excitement. you decided on making him watch spirited away, the most famous ghibli movie in existence. taehyun said he's already seen this movie (to which you let out a big sigh of relief), but said he was too young to remember the majority of it.
so, that was how you ended up watching another movie with a blanket covering the both of you. the scene was so domestic and you were trying so hard not to think about it, or else you would end up being a blushing mess again.
more than halfway through the movie, you could feel yourself slowly succumb to the inviting hands of sleep. you tried to fight the desire to close your eyes and shut off the entire world, but you didn't want to fall asleep on taehyun. you felt like it would be rude of you to, and you just didn't want to waste a single second with him.
unfortunately, it was hard to fight the inevitable. it was a bit late in the night and there was something about knowing that someone else was in your company while watching a comforting movie that made you fall asleep earlier than usual.
when taehyun looked over at you and saw you sleeping soundly, two thoughts ran through his mind.
'she looks cute asleep. her neck might get strained from sleeping like that.'
without any hesitation, taehyun scooted closer to you and gently guided your head towards his shoulder. he fixed the blanket so it would cover you more and he lowered the volume of the TV.
admittedly, this new position made taehyun's heart beat faster than usual. this was new territory for him and he didn't know why this was the first thing he thought of doing instead of waking you up or letting you lay down on the couch. he was a bit flustered at his decision, but didn't think it was the wrong one. he would gladly do it again if given the chance.
taehyun continued watching the movie with you unknowingly laying on his shoulder. he soon realized that staying in such a position for a long time was uncomfortable, but he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable. he endured the discomfort until the movie was finished.
while the credits rolled in, he contemplated on how he was going to wake you up. he settled on lightly shaking you. "y/n, wake up. the movie's finished," he quietly said. after a few more shakes, you were pulled away from your dream and back to reality. the first thing you saw was the credits playing in front of you, then you felt your head laying on something.
"you looked like you were already in deep sleep so i didn't wake you and just finished it myself. i'm sure you've already watched this a million times now," taehyun chuckled softly.
taehyun's voice sounded too near, as if he was only centimeters away from you. you were still a bit dazed from your sleep, so nothing was processing completely in your head. it was only a few minutes after when you realized why his voice sounded so close to you.
your heart picked up at the realization that you were laying on his shoulder. did you do it while you were asleep? did he find you annoying because of it? well, he didn't push you away so maybe that's not the case… but what if he just let you lay on his shoulder out of pity? your mind was whirling with questions and it was all too much for your groggy state. instead of asking them all, you remained in your position, too afraid to sit up straight and face him.
taehyun thought that you were still trying to wake up from you slumber, so he continued speaking without expecting an answer. "i hope it was okay for me to move closer and place your head on my shoulder. the way you were sleeping looked uncomfortable and i couldn't just sit there and let you hurt your neck,"
you flushed at that. so this new position was because of him and his gentlemanly tendencies. you wondered how a guy as dreamy as taehyun could ever exist. it was as if he was taken straight out of a ghibli movie.
"thank you. 'm sorry for falling asleep on you," you murmured, finally finding your voice again.
"it's okay. you can make it up to me next time,"
your breath hitched. "there's gonna be a next time?" you asked and taehyun could hear the smile in your voice. he also smiled to himself.
he hummed in agreement. "i like watching movies with you,"
'and i like you,' you thought to yourself as your heart fluttered even more. it was as if everything taehyun tells you goes straight to your heart. it was all becoming too much that you might explode at any moment.
"huh?" you heard taehyun say, confused.
"what do you mean 'huh'?"
"you just said that you liked me,"
you felt like a bucket of ice cold water was poured all over you. you flinched away from him and created space between you again. you looked at him, shocked and flustered. there was no way you accidentally blurted that out loud.
the butterflies in your stomach started turning into moths and you felt your veins thrumming with panic instead of happiness. this was not part of the plan; certainly not how the night was supposed to end.
you weren't ready for him to find out about your feelings and you couldn't believe that you were stupid enough to say that tonight.
"y/n? what did you mean by that?" you were too busy thinking of a way to save yourself from your mistake to notice that there was a hint of hope in taehyun's voice that even he himself didn't realize.
after a few more seconds of silence, you finally spoke up.
"w-what i meant to say was that i like you a-as a friend! yes… as a friend. you're a good friend, taehyun," you stammered, giving him a smile that you hoped didn't look strained.
taehyun blinked at you. "oh. okay," he said and—were you still sleepy or did he sound… disappointed? you gulped. maybe you were just imagining things.
you two sat in silence for a while until taehyun suddenly shook his head as if he shook out every thought in it. he gave you a small smile. "i should get going now and let you sleep more,"
you slumped in your seat, afraid that you might have made the night turn awkward. you've never hated yourself more than now. you wanted to apologize, but then the conversation would circle back to it since taehyun isn't aware of why you felt the need to say sorry. besides, it seems like both of you wanted to avoid the topic now.
you nodded and bit your lip. "next time?" hope was evident in your voice, your palms sweating as you waited for his response.
taehyun nodded with a charming smile. "next time."
you internally sighed in relief and was finally able to show him a genuine smile after the whole ordeal. taehyun started cleaning up and so did you, a comfortable silence enveloping the room.
soon, you and taehyun were standing near your front door.
"i had fun today. thanks again for helping me with my essay and for watching those movies with me," taehyun said.
"i barely watched the second movie," you laughed and he also let out a chuckle. "you're welcome. get home safe, okay?"
taehyun nodded. "sleep well and have good dreams tonight," there was that charming smile of his again. sometimes it felt like taehyun was purposefully out to give you a heart attack.
you nodded and opened the door for him. taehyun walked through the door until he paused, turning around to face you again. you thought he might have forgotten something with the way his face looked conflicted.
you were about to ask until he took a step closer to you, his hand gently lifting. he paused the motion, like he was hesitant of his action, then continued moving, sure of himself. you felt his hand on your head and he gently started patting it.
"good night, y/n."
your heart was about to jump out of your chest. you were sure it was already tired from going through many highs tonight, but it was hard to control yourself when taehyun was acting the way he was without any explanation. he definitely wants to give you a heart attack.
"good night, taehyun," you reciprocated, breathier than you intended. yet, another smile appeared on his perfectly sculpted face and he pulled his hand away, leaving your apartment without another word.

if you had a dollar every time you discreetly pinched yourself to check if you were dreaming or not, you would probably have at least twenty dollars. never did you think that you would ever get the chance to watch a movie with taehyun in your house, let alone your favorite movie ever.
you were well aware that this arrangement was only because of an assignment but still, it wouldn't hurt to allow yourself to indulge in these few hours and pretend that he was here because he enjoyed your company, right?
it sounded sad, but it was what you had been doing during the past hour.
on any other day, your eyes would have been glued to the screen while watching kiki's delivery service but today, it was hard to focus on anything because of the warmth radiating from beside you on the couch. there was space between you and taehyun and it took you a lot of strength not to slowly close it and cling onto him.
you also spent your time zoning out by trying to figure out what taehyun was thinking while watching the movie. he had been silent so far, letting out a few chuckles here and there. it would crush you if at the end of the movie, he tells you that he found it boring or didn't understand why people liked it so much—why you liked it so much.
you pouted at the thought. you really hoped that wouldn't be the case.
"y/n," taehyun's voice cut through your thoughts and you turned to him with a startle. you saw him holding the plate you were using the entire time, a pizza slice on it. you took the plate and mumbled a quick 'thank you', trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. he was such a gentleman.
"you're awfully quiet," he pointed out, taking a bite of his pizza slice. "i thought you would be as energetic while watching the movie as you were when you messaged me." you could feel his eyes were on you, yet you kept your eyes on the TV screen.
"i guess i just have a lot on my mind today," you said, taking a bite of your own slice. taehyun raised an eyebrow at this and before you knew it, he took the remote from the coffee table and paused the movie.
"hey?" you exclaimed, frowning at the abrupt pause. your favorite part was about to come up, therefore your focus was slowly going back to the movie. you whipped your head towards taehyun. "what are you doing? press play."
"not until you focus on the movie. you were zoning out the entire time,"
"i've seen this a hundred times now, i can zone out on a few parts!"
"not with me. i want you to focus on the movie."
you grumbled at taehyun's stubbornness. as much as you were glad that you and taehyun were talking, your annoyance was slowly growing. you just wanted to watch your favorite part.
you pouted in defeat, nodding. "fine. i was just about to focus on this next part anyway,"
taehyun tsked. "don't just focus on this part, focus on the rest of the movie. i'm here enjoying myself and my movie partner looks like she wants to go home even though she already is in her home? that won't do for me," the more taehyun spoke, the more he sounded like he was teasing you.
his words made your head spin. his movie partner… the fluttering in your stomach became worse as your mind repeated those words. who knew those simple words could cause such a reaction?
there was also one more thing that not only made your heart flutter, but made you happy as well. "you're enjoying the movie?" you asked, a smile slowly forming on your face.
taehyun nodded, and he immediately noticed how your eyes lit up at the confirmation. "i like it so far. it's a well-made movie."
you grinned at him, your worries drifting away from your mind like a cloud of smoke. "i'm very happy to hear that. i told you you'd like it!"
he let out a laugh and nodded. "yeah, so focus on the movie now!"
"i will, i will. i was worried you didn't like it, so hearing that you do makes me feel better," you said, happily taking a bite out of your pizza. taehyun smiled as he watched you eat, wondering what else could quickly make you happy like this. for some reason, he wanted to see you like this more often.
"i have one more concern," taehyun voiced out. you looked at him with eyebrows raised in questioning.
"why are you sitting so far away from me? don't you want to be near me?"
if you hadn't already swallowed your food, you were sure that you would be choking to near death at what he said.
instead you blinked at him, face heating up and mouth slightly agape. your couch wasn't that big for the space between you to be suspiciously too big, you didn't think he would notice anything. today was a day that you wished he wasn't as observant as he was.
it was hard for you to think of an excuse so instead, you slowly scooted an inch nearer him. taehyun raised an eyebrow that clearly said, 'are you serious?' and you tucked your lips in. you threw your remaining logical thinking out of the window and moved closer to him. your arms almost touched his and you couldn't stop blushing at the close proximity.
"better?" you asked, trying to sound normal. your mouth was slightly pouted and you kept your eyes on the coffee table. you were itching to just go back to watching the movie.
taehyun hummed in satisfaction. "much. you can also lean on my shoulder if your neck feels uncomfortable," he offered.
this man was driving you insane. you didn't understand how he was saying all of this stuff so casually, like any physical interaction with him was nothing special. it was something that you didn't expect from him, since everyone in school knew that he was practically untouchable. the more you got to know taehyun, the more you realized how complex he was as a person.
"thanks," you said, your mind incapable of thinking of anything else to say. it was a known fact between your small trusted circle that taehyun was the only person that could turn your brain into mush and hanging out with him is making it ten times worse.
you just hoped that you could reshape your brain back to its original state to help him with this damn assignment.
