––{✿❀} “Ah, so you’re Valerie!” the botanist chimed cutely. “I’ve heard your name here and there, but I wasn’t completely sure who you were. It’s very nice to meet you, Miss Valerie.” Her smiled brightened at the compliment to her own name. “I have to say, I think you’re the first person I’ve met to wear a kimono on a casual basis. It’s looks stunning on you.”
In all honesty, it made sense that Valerie would be the gym leader for Laverre. After all, the city was on the smaller side compared to others in Kalos, and it was a very cute little city. Also, there were multiple natural-growing flowers that caught Erika’s eye - of course. Although, the general appearance of a cutesy floral atmosphere mixed with a gym that had the resemblance of a doll house was a perfect match for the other girl, whom bore the resemblance of a luminescent doll herself. The botanist was actually a little envious of such vividness.
"It is very nice to meet you as well... Oh, you believe so?" She questioned the compliment about her kimono, looking down over the complex design. Now that she thought about it, people didn't usually wear kimonos around for casual events, did they? Letting a small smile caress her lips, she returned her violet-eyed gaze to the other gym leader. "Thank you. I made this outfit myself, you know."
"... It's a bit strange," Valerie started to muse as she looked Erika up and down, admiring the kimono she wore. "We're both clothed in kimonos, and yet, our outfits differ very much." Letting a thoughtful hum pass her closed lips, she smiled at the beauty before her. "But your kimono suits you very well. You look... enchanting. Such as a princess would."
