2 parts coffee liqueur
5 parts vodka
Salty Dog Cocktail !
INGREDIENTS
Coarse kosher salt
Ice cubes
2 parts vodka (or gin)
3 parts freshly squeeze ruby red grapefruit juice
Slices of grapefruit, cut into quarters for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour kosher salt onto a small, flat plate. Wet the rims of a highball glass (we use edge of the slices of grapefruit that we cut for garnishing), then gently dip the rim of the glass in the plate of salt – spinning slightly to coat the rim with salt.
Carefully fill the glass with ice cubes – being careful not to knock the salt off the rim of the glass.
Pour 2 parts vodka and 3 parts grapefruit juice over the ice. Stir gently to combine and serve.

L’Americano… uno cocktail italianissimo!
No, non pensate che siamo impazziti, l’Americano è veramente un cocktail italianissimo, probabilmente nato negli anni Trenta in Italia e chiamato così per quella moda, ancora attuale, di americanizzare tutto. Pensate che all’inizio il suo nome era “Milano-Torino” dato che i suoi ingredienti principali sono proprio prodotti in queste due città, il Bitter Campari a Milano e il Vermouth Rosso a Torino.
Tra i motivi per cui questo cocktail si chiama “Americano” c’è anche Primo Carrera, pugile detto appunto “L’Americano” che conseguì una importante vittoria a New York.
L’Americano si compone direttamente nel bicchiere con ghiaccio, viene guarnito con una fettina di arancia ed è perfetto come pre-dinner.

1/3 bitter campari
1/3 martini rosso
1/3 soda
