Dutch would be the type to read to his kids, even when they're adults
Read TO his kids or read AT his kids??
I feel like Dutch just needs to hear himself talk a lot of the time, whether others are listening or not. Besides just kids, it would probably go the same for any fellow gang members.

This is what I imagine (mild crack edition):
Dutch finds an extra 🔥 HOT 🔥 Evelyn Miller quote he NEEDS to share. If he doesn’t get it off his chest immediately, he might just spontaneously combust.
He sees Arthur sitting on his cot as he rolls a cigarette. Power walking over there, Dutch grabs a chair and sets it next to the cot.
Forgoing a greeting, Dutch begins to blaze through the passage a mile a minute before his ass even touches the wooden seat.
Arthur begins to greet him, but he closes his mouth mid-sentence as he realizes Dutch isn’t about to acknowledge him.
When Dutch finishes the passage, he halts to catch his breath. He pants from the sheer speed and emotion he put into reading.
Taking the chance to finally say something, Arthur apathetically mumbles, “Sounds real interesting, Dutch.”
You see, Dutch nows believes he has Arthur engaged. “Oh, you think THAT was interesting? Wait until you hear THIS!!!”
Dutch begins reading again, so fast and loud that he misses the audible groan from Arthur.
Striking a match, Arthur lights his cigarette. He concentrates on smoking it for the next few minutes to keep his sanity in check.
As it eventually burns out, he flicks it aside and looks to Dutch.
His voice is FILLED with cracks, and he uses his tablecloth bandana to wipe away the sweat gathering on his flushed face.
All of a sudden, Dutch stops reading as he stands and runs away from Arthur’s area. Thinking he is in the clear, Arthur sighs and lays on his back.
JUST THEN - Dutch returns with a drink to alleviate his parched throat... it’s COFFEE, of all things.
Arthur rolls on his side and squeezes a pillow over his head as he emits a stifled cry.
Nearly an hour passes before Dutch realizes Arthur is sound asleep. When he notices this, he pauses and stares in shock.
Then, he turns the page and shrugs.
In the end, Dutch continues to read. Out loud.
The worst part is, Dutch probably only has like 5 books. After a week or two, he just resorts to reading the same exact thing on repeat.
