Wanted to talk about the movie BBRae wise because I just remembered it exists

UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT: I didn't like Trouble in Tokyo.

Don't get me wrong, I think it was a cute movie for RobStar, but I hated how the writers neglected the others. ESPECIALLY Raven. Because wft do you mean she hit Beast Boy twice for no reason and made a purposefully hurtful comment about his looks?

Are completely ooc for her, and I feel like this is where SO much BBRae hate comes from. When has she ever hit him or acted rude towards him outside the movie without a reason when it wasn't teasing? I genuinely can't connect her movie version to her series version.

Also since we're talking about the movie, girl, wtf is this?

That can't be comfortable to fly on, and also again, being needlessly rude to BB??

So, while this isn't the end of the world and there were Raven moments I liked, it's just extremely annoying how mistreated her character was and how much hate it brought for Raven and BBRae, it makes the movie hard to watch for me so let's just pretend it doesn't exist, okay guys?

I also gotta say, I would be really happy about a 6th season, but they couldn't even get the characters right only about a year after the last episode which honestly makes me pretty worried. This series has so much wasted potential...

Just want you to know that hating on the movie isn't an unpopular opinion AT ALL, like you are so not alone here. Majority of the fandom loathes the movie and pretends it doesn't exist 🥲

There's of course the reasons you mentioned above. They made Raven soooo OOC. But they also stripped all dimension from the other four too. They made Cyborg the "food guy" who just eats everything. They made BB someone who suddenly doesn't take missions seriously?? They made Starfire's whole character centred around Robin, also completely distracted from the mission.

Honestly maybe Robin is the only character they portrayed accurately in the movie, though they still pushed it too far with him also. Him using his duties to stall confronting his feelings for Starfire is so him. But he's never outright DISMISSED her when she's sat there being vulnerable.

It's frustrating because the movie had potential as a storyline, but it was rushed to oblivion and made completely one-dimensional. It was just an excuse to make RobStar canon since they didn't get the chance to in the show, but even the RobStar shippers hate the movie because of HOW they got together. It was all just so forced and random.

Every character we love was done a disservice. I would say Raven especially, since she's never been MEAN and has always had so much depth. They completely mischaracterised her the way someone who's only seen bits and pieces of the show might. "She's dark so she must also be nasty." And you're so right, she's never acted like this in canon. It's absurd.

Such a disappointment, but just know most of the fandom agrees. I personally reject the entire movie completely; Starfire and Robin can confess in another scenario completely imagined in my own mind before I accept that shit 😂

(I also personally don't trust modern writers with these characters anymore, and do not want a S6. I don't think we'll ever get it anyway, but I genuinely think the chances of them fucking it up are like 95%. So I'd rather be without!)

Gonna be honest, I didn't even pay THAT much attention to the others. I'm pretty indifferent about RobStar so I was just like "oh Robin finally got his shit together and they kissed nice" and moved on. I mostly just focused on Raven and BB lol, I noticed that things were off with the others too, I just didn't really care at that point, they fucked my otp up and I was too mad about that, so thank you for adding all this

So these are my ideas for the Star Furies! (Name by reddit user u/DragonYeet54)

I wanted to keep it simple, and I wanted to avoid mixing the colors together by just making random body parts black or gray. It was a bit of a struggle, but this is what I came up with.

The gray boy's name is Dusty. He's the biggest but the youngest one.

The really dark gray boy is Flick. He's the tiniest and most skittish.

And the girl is called Glist, she's the oldest one.

Also wanna announce that my light fury redesigns species name will be Moon fury, named by u/thedistinctor, and her name will be Dawn, thanks to u/kasi_di!

Came up with a new species of furies inspired by another light fury concept art

I wanted to keep the colors similar to how they are in the concept art because I like that hint of blue and gray, but I made the dragon itself much smaller and gave it some more detail

Didn't have time to properly render, but I wanted to show the personality of my idea of the light fury — also I'm gonna need a little help

Sooo the thing is, the name light fury doesn't really feel like it fits this dragon, as someone has pointed out in another post on reddit, I kinda removed the "light" part of her. My first language is not English and I'm terrible at coming up with names, so if anyone has any ideas I would be really happy to hear! And if I like one, if you're okay with it I would call this dragon that from now on, and of course would give a shout-out on the other platforms that I'm active on

Kinda just realized I'm basically making a whole new dragon, changing the name, design, personality and all that, but HONESTLY I don't mind

OH and also wanna point out that I'm not a fan of the ending of the third movie, so in the same way I'm not a big fan of Homecoming, so this redraw was just to highlight the difference I tried to make

Gosh it's been a while since I drew her demon side, I'm glad to finally be back at it

I used this drawing as an opportunity to practice lighting and different angles a bit more too. I love her design SOOO MUCH but it's hard to get it right when she has her hood up

This is kind of a Raven test redesign. The idea is that when she turns 18 she updates her uniform a bit

I'm not 100% sure about the look and the concept yet, I like it and a few of my buddies on Discord like it too, so I don't think I'll change much about it, but it MIGHT change in the future

I thought since I feel like her cloak has some kind of connection to her powers, it reacts to them and stuff, I'd make the feathers react slightly to her emotions, like puffing up a bit when she's surprised, irritated, disgusted, etc.

(2003) Teen Titans - Comic: After S5 Ep10 'Go!' Finished.

Soooo, this is my first finished comic ever, and I'm a noob, so I’m not just posting this to share it, but also to ask artists to point out my mistakes because, holy hell, it's a disaster. Whether it's about how the comic is structured or the art itself, I'm open to feedback.

The mistakes I already know I made include the text bubbles, they're all wrong, but I'll fix that in my future drawings, and the facial expressions, which I just need more practice with. Also, my writing could use a lot of improvement, but since English isn't my first language, I used ChatGPT to correct it, so I’m not sorry for it. And let’s not even talk about the background at the end…

If you know of any other social media platforms where I can reach a large Teen Titans fanbase, ones that don’t constantly bombard me with corn ads and random art, please let me know!

So I finally have time to draw again, and I wanted to come back to this comic and the redraw

After just two pages, I realized I had bitten off more than I could chew. Being a beginner with CSP, still struggling a lot with anatomy, and trying to produce a high-quality comic just didn't work out. Working on it stopped being fun, and I lost sight of the point of trying

So for now, I've decided to abandon this project. I'm definitely coming back to it later because this comic is very close to my heart, but I need to be more confident in my skills first

Love how this scene where the dog Raven believes is Beast Boy tackles her to shower her with affection, she isn't surprised at all. Like this is an everyday thing he does

She was just like yep, he looks completely fine to me... Considering this, it is probably something he often does and Raven's just used to it, and I think that's really cute

I am SO mad about this penny, because it was such a sweet gesture of Beast Boy to give it to her, and it clearly had some amount of emotional value for her. She held onto it LITERALLY as long as she possibly could. It was with her until what she thought could be her last breath. And to add to this, this is one of the very few moments between them throughout her whole arc, and I think one of the best moments in the whole series.

And then we never see it again.

Ever.

It's like it got forgotten about.

So my comfort headcanon is, idk if that's a thing, but it is now, ever since that penny was lost, every time Beast Boy finds one, he always gives it to Raven, and she keeps them all.

It's a really sweet way to remind her that they would never give up on her, even when her dad is Satan himself, even when she was born to destroy the world and even when she herself lost all hope.

So I want to point out something really important about this scene

Beast Boy knew EXACTLY what to say to her.

He didn't try to deny the fact that she's creepy, because she IS creepy as hell, and he knew that trying to convince her otherwise is useless. She knows she's scary very well, and he wouldn't be able to change her mind.

What he did instead was he confirmed it. Then immediately added that the fact that she's creepy does not mean she deserves to be lonely or deal with her problems alone.

She's already insecure about being a half-demon, and what Beast Boy suggested by what he said, that it doesn't matter, and he and the team will always support and love her, no matter what, was exactly what she needed to hear.

I also love how it's implied that he's the first one to check on her, and since he knows what it feels like to have your heart broken by someone you trusted deeply, he felt the need to show sympathy.

And this is exactly why this scene is one of my favorites. These two are just so wholesome :')
