Why did I post the same photo three times?
Each photo is a screen shot from three individual fake crisis pregnancy centers. The top one is Lighthouse in Gunnison, Colorado. The second is Women’s Resource Center in Dillion, Colorado and the third is from Women’s Hope Medical Clinic in Alburn, Alabama.
All three have the same information. WORD FOR WORD.
Two are from Colorado, one is from Alabama, so how in the world would they have the same websites?
It is because of CareNet. An explicit pro-life organization that supports fake CPCs. In fact, you can search their website for a “clinic” if you need one. The centers pay CareNet an annual fee to use their website templates. That is why they are all the same. Some are different, they have different photos or layouts, but the biased and false information is still all the same.
These clinics have volunteers who read go off of a manual called “Equipped to Serve”. Which is basically a manual that teaches manipulation-without actually using that term. These volunteers are often members of the churches associated with the fake center. But you wouldn’t know that by looking at these websites? In fact you must dig a lot deeper to find out the truth.
All three have the same mission statement:
“Provides accurate & helpful information in a compassionate environment, to empower life-affirming choices that change lives.”
The keyword here is life-affirming. This is your first clue about if the clinic is truly unbiased....these three are not.
Under Pregnancy Options, you will find many “facts” cited from references. This looks official but it is not. The sources they cite are not scholarly and they are cherry picked by CareNet to support their own agenda. It isn’t until the very bottom of the page that they have the statement
“We offer accurate information about all your pregnancy options; however, we do not offer or refer for abortion services.”
So if you've taken the time to read through the entire page with its overly graphic poor descriptions of procedures, than you may actually find out that this clinic is not going to assist you with finding an abortion provider.
In fact, they may not even tell you this on the phone. The lack of posted information about their religious beliefs or pro-life affiliations allow women to walk into the clinic, only to be bombarded with pro-life rhetoric.
So the next time you come across a possible pregnancy center, do your research. If it pops up in the search on CareNet’s website, it is a fake CPC!
