So, something that I think about is that it seems like Vulcans with Sehlats have a wildly different pet culture than humans because their pets are kind of still actively dangerous. Whereas a lot of humans (where I'm from) pretty much view animals like dogs and cats as extra fuzzy family members. Last year I lived in a cold, wet climate and saw so many small to mid sized dogs in coats and little booties, or with cute little ear warmers. I know people who never really spend much on themselves but buy luxury items and regular trips to the groomer for their dog or cat. Idk, I think it would be really cute if a Vulcan discovered human pet culture. (Inspired by my great grandma's crusty little Pomeranian. RIP Precious, you sure did love watching I Love Lucy and picking fights with deer).
Omfg that sounds like such a cute idea! I mean, Vulcans seeing Humans putting little sweater on their pets? Or lil raincoats?
OMFG WAIT.
For the special "it-is-only-logical" type of Vulcan, what if they make a super large poncho for their sehlat!! Like "Humans seem to have a logical approach, therefore it is only logical that we imitate their behavior..." *puts a plaid poncho on their sehlat with a large IDIC sewed onto the front*
Keeping Sehlat may be similiar to keeping a large parrot like a macaw. (Or bird of pray. But it's harder to classify later as actual pet.)
Both can live well with people, but arguably it's easier to unwillingly provoke a parot then a dog. Even if both were rised properly.
Imagine vulcan biologist working with a parrot:
Parrot at other side of building: *query, query, query...*
Vulcan: Response!
Parrot: You logical! *happy noises*
There is w lot of fun bits here. "Through the process known as..." that is something i did not read about before.
I was thinking about those tags I wrote a while back. So I drew it real quick. Not very refined it's mostly just a sketch. I clearly don't know how to properly draw tapetum lucidum.
Library of terms related to Stoicism
A little library I made, to compile content of previous posts.
Anyways, I always think about how Vulcans would see and react to Humans who scare other Humans, like they try to be as unaffected as possible so I think they’d try to see Humans yelling at them as an exercise in emotional control, but what would their opinion be of an aggressive and emotional Human yelling at another Human and making them flinch/be frightened
Like they put in all this effort and shape their society around controlling their emotions for not only their well-being but the well-being of the people around them, and here’s this person of a species that looks similar to their species who puts no effort in controlling their emotions and not only very plainly doesn’t care about others’ well-being but is actively harmful to the mental/emotional health of others around them
I feel like they’d have some kind of reaction, y’know?
I guess that response vary from person to person. One may ask whether to intervene, is this behavior "proper" for Humans? Does situation justify such reaction in their culture? If it is invalid would intervention prevent similar situation in the future?
If so what response will be most adequate? "Should I wait a bit until aggressor calm down a bit or should I intervene now?…" Optionally "…Whatever nerve pinch-it"
Captain Janeway, is that you?

Advent calendar 24
As I read about and wrote down chosen words I camed up with several ideas for the way to sum up my work. Unfortunately other duties held ma back from finalizing one of them. In following days, I will post something that will sum up my little challenge.
Maybe I haven't post daily but, I think that I was consistent enough to actually learn something about Stoicism and to create thing that resemble glossary.

“Vulcan/T’Khasi is not a planet, but a barren desert”
A _beautiful_ desert. A desert with a unique variety of life. A desert with underground springs, majestic caves, cool oases under the thickness of the stone, singing sands, salt lakes and snowy mountains at the poles.
Imagine how the desert blooms even after one rain. How, with a breath of wind, fields of wild grasses among red sand turn into a silver ocean, swaying and breathing.
... A desert shaped by harsh weather. Home for resilient lifeforms witch guard games of unimaginable properties.
