huge congratulations to drugs for continuing to win the war on drugs
Remember: toe beans are the sign of a killer.
Funnily enough, I’m not 100% joking. While many animals have paw pads, the particular kind of soft, squishy beans found on housecats are an adaptation for stealth. Squishy beans mean you’re looking at an ambush predator.
These are the beans of a killer, Bella.

That's because pea flower tea works naturally as a ph indicator! It will turn magenta when mixed with acid (lemon juice) but will turn cyan green when mixed with something alkaline (baking powder, bleach etc.)

Here is my opinion as a recruiter (of course recruiting is highly subjective and everyone has their own biases in hiring)
1. If its your first job after a gap, don't say its a health reason. They will probably not ask more but they'll probably mentally downgrade you because 'Are they really okay to come back to work?' If it's further back, it'll be less of an issue. This goes triple for any job that is physical.
2. Depending on hiring person, I find 'I was caring for a family member full time' to be a good reason for a gap that I won't question.
3. If you have the opportunity while in a gap, get a certification or degree. Then you can use that as a reason for your gap and it could potentially turn the view of that gap from negative to positive.
4. If you have a "good" reason, most people understand. I speak to people daily who were a Covid layoff and we don't count this gap against them. I also sometimes talk to people who have to explain gaps around 2008 with "Well that was during the financial crisis" and I go say no more I understand.
4. If you don't have a "good" reason, pretend you do. Don't lie but make it sound like the gap was a thing you chose. "I had the opportunity after leaving my last job to take a few months before looking for work again." "I was able to work on building my home business (Ebay, etsy, etc), but now I'm looking for something more stable."
These are all really great and very helpful, thanks for sharing!!!
“Sean was very much Sam for me. You know, always looking after me, being there for me.” - Elijah Wood (2001) // “Well, I felt very, um… protective over Elijah, for no reason. He could take care of himself fine.” - Sean Astin (2012)
Was everyone method acting?! Viggo walked around in full Aragorn costume off set (including sword) and acted as the leader of the group, not to mention deflecting knives, Billy Boyd apparently found a way to cheat the system and get two birthdays, John Rhys-Davies ignored fight scene instructions in favor of hitting as many people with his ax as hard as he could, Orlando Bloom literally never had any idea what was happening, and now I learn that Sean was Elijah’s batman the entire time?
why do you think the movies are a timeless classic of the highest quality?
You dress people up as warriors and wizards and they will LARP, they can’t help it.
Sean looked after Elijah throughout all the filming - he took it upon himself to care for Elijah just as Sam would for Frodo.
One time Elijah accidentally forgot his keys in his caravan (I believe? Can’t remember exactly what it was) but he had a shoot and didn’t have time to get it sorted straight away. Sean told him to leave it with him - and Sean had someone come along and make a whole new key in time for Elijah finishing up so he could get back home without any worries.
He is literally Sam.
Everyone in LOTR is literally their character.
Sean also said in an interview when asked about his audition for Samwise he had NO IDEA what LOTR was, he’d never heard of it. So he bought the books and read them, and whilst he still didn’t totally grasp the concept of the ring and it’s importance he saw the strength of Sam’s support for Frodo and knew how vital it was to the story. Kinda like how Sam doesn’t really understand the importance of destroying the ring at first but knows that he needs to stay with Frodo or he won’t make it.
IF THAT ISNT EVIDENCE THAT SEAN IS SAM I DUNNO WHAT IS.
guess who just found out the difference between wax paper and parchment paper the hard way
wait what’s the difference?
one you can use in the oven safely and the other you can also use in the oven if the thing you are trying to make happens to be fire
100k notes on this post and I still don't remember which is which
