Well, I didn't realise that writing and posting fanfiction was a thing until probably 2015 (and I'm getting on in years now) But to be fair, I had been writing fanfiction in my own head since I was a young kid. I was forever making up stories and weaving myself into the plot, I just wasn't putting those stories down into words. As for getting into the actual writing of fics, well I have to blame Game of Thrones for that. For months I imagined an OC living in the Westerosi world and how I could work them into the shows storyline and I just felt the need to actually write it down. But I did it as a x reader, not an OC
📝 How many fandoms have you written in?
Mostly Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders. However, I have written for Supernatural, Harry Potter, Marvel, Stranger Things and even a singular fic for Robert Pattinson's The Batman
📝 How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
I started my GOT Fic back in 2018, so 7 years now. Wow!
📝 Do you read or write more fanfiction?
Unfortunately, I have not done much of either over the last year. I wish I read more of my mutuals fics, because they are soo good! And I have missed writing.
📝 What is one way you've improved as a writer?
I'm really not sure about this. I think I have better flow now compared to when I first started.
📝 Do you have any bad habits as a writer?
I have soooo many bad habits! I think I can sometimes be overly descriptive. Sometimes simpler is better.
📝 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
There's been a few. I've searched many strange things about WW2. Medical terms and treatments from the first half of the 20th century. Long Swords and strange folklore stories. I could go on.
📝 What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
Any positive comment makes my day. But if I had to choose one type... I love it when people tell me I've really nailed a character's personality and dialogue.
📝 What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
Um... not sure about this one... probably mermaids. (It was a request and I thought, 'Why not challenge myself?'
📝 What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
I did struggle with fluff for the longest time, but I love writing it now.
📝 What is the easiest type?
Probably angst. I love a good angsty fic, as long as it ends on a good note.
📝 Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
I usually just write on word. I love that it reads it out loud for me. It makes picking up mistakes so much easier. I generally write at night on the couch. It's the quietest time when you have a big family.
📝 What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
My own original story. I have most of it planned out, both in my head and in my notebook. But for some reason I can't bring myself to write it down. I've only written about half a chapter :(
📝 What made you choose your username?
I love Crowded House (an Australian/New Zealand band) @fallatyourfeet is my second favourite song of theirs. Why did I choose my second favourite, you ask? Because my first favourite is 'Into Temptation.' I thought I better not go with that because everybody will think I write a lot of smut, which I do not.

Prewar!Tommy Shelby x Reader
Summary: (Y/N) has Tommy promise her something after he tells her he’s enlisted to fight in The Great War.

“You’re being serious,” (Y/N) stated, disbelief present in her words. She still couldn’t wrap her head around the news that her boyfriend had just told her.
“I am,” Tommy affirmed, “me brothers and I…we have to do this.”
“You don’t necessarily have to do it. You’ve not been drafted yet. You’re willingly signing up for it,” she pointed out a technicality in his statement. She just couldn’t fathom the fact that he was making the choice to go to war.
“You know what I mean, love.”
“Gosh, Tommy, I just…” she paused, letting out a shaky breath as the tears welling up in her eyes finally spilled over. “I don’t want you to go,” she managed to choke out before she covered her face, not wanting him to see the fact that she was full on crying now.
Tommy watched her for a moment. Her body was shaking slightly from the emotions she was feeling. Seeing her this broken down panged at his heart. If there was a way that he could stay, he certainly would. No one was safe from the throngs of conscription though, and he and his brothers decided that they’d be the ones making the choice to fight instead of being forced into it. The papers had been signed and they were do to ship out to the frontlines come daybreak.
“Come here, (Y/N),” he said softly after a few moments had passed. When she didn’t move, he leaned closer to her so that he was able to pull her shaking frame flush against his body.
“I can’t lose you, Tommy,” she whispered as she pressed her face into the fabric of his waistcoat. It wasn’t the softest material, but she didn’t care in this moment.
“You won’t,” he spoke in an assured tone, his arms wrapped tightly around her frame as he rested his chin on her head.
“But what if I do?” she couldn’t quite take his word for it. “What if you’re killed in battle? What if you’re captured by the enemy? What if…what if some wartime nurse saves your life and you forget about me to go and be with her because you’re indebted to her for what she’s done?” she rambled off all of the scenarios that she was afraid could possibly come true.
“You read too many stories, love,” he chuckled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
“I’m being serious,” she insisted.
“So am I,” he returned the sentiment. “You’ve a place in my heart no one else could ever have, (Y/N). No one, no thing, is going to take me away from you.”
(Y/N) sighed, sniffling then as she tried to get ahold of her tears. She pulled away from his chest, sitting up straight so that she could look at him again. “Promise me this,” she began, taking a deep breath as she locked her eyes onto his. “You fight for your country and then you come right back home to me, Thomas Shelby,” she spoke with a seriousness, her voice wavering as she became welled up with emotion again.
“I promise,” he responded, his words filled with the utmost sincerity. “I’ll come home to you,” he assured her, his words making her fall against his frame again.
“I love you, Tommy,” she whispered as she held onto him tightly.
“I’ll always come home to you,” he told her, his hands finding her cheeks so that he could lift her head and press his lips to hers.
Ohh, K, I loved this. Prewar Tommy is just the greatest.
I would have reacted the same as YN, my thoughts running through every bad scenario. I would have grabbed on to him and not let go.
I loved this line, “I’ll come home to you,” he assured her, his words making her fall against his frame again. It's just so sweet, the way her body surrenders to those 5 words.

And you were charming too… those very same men buckling over when you offered an effortless smile in their general vicinity. Or maybe it was the way the supple threads of your silk dress shifted against your body, both revealing and concealing it to perfection.
But no. Besides all that, Tommy quickly came to realise it was your eyes. Those intelligent, deep and knowing eyes. They twisted at his insides in the best kind of way. Made him feel something new… something exciting… simply by gracing him with their attention from the other side of the room. And grace him they did. On more than one occasion, those stunning intriguing eyes made no secret of the notice they paid him.
Still tapping his cigarette gently against the table, he returned his gaze to find your friend laughing, the unknown story you spoke igniting joy across your every feature, and he found himself eager to be privy to that little story… to understand what it would take to ignite such joy. Without getting into it, a lot has happened over the past year to keep me from writing and interacting with you all. I have a few asks in my inbox which I've only just read over the last week or so and I plan on replying over the next few days.
As for writing, I will be posting a small Thomas Shelby drabble shortly. I've been itching to return to writing for a few months now and thought I would start with a short fic to blow out the cobwebs. It's a bit rough... so please be kind :)
I can't promise I'll be posting regularly, but I'm hoping I can carve out some time every week to write, even if it's just a little it.
So, I just finished watching Game of Thrones and I knew I had to read this again. This ending is just better. I know it’s very similar, but the way we got there and Jon’s life, it’s all just better here!
