Beyond The Clouds || Dilleb
Caleb rolled his eyes more than a few times, but he smiled affectionately whenever Dillon wiggled, never quite being able to keep still. Their fingers were tangled together and whenever he rubbed his thumb over his hand, he felt some of the tension release. He smiled as Autumn made her way into Dillon’s lap and back again. She seemed to sense when he needed her. After a point though, it seemed he couldn’t stand it any longer. He brought their hands up and he pressed a kiss there, before he pulled off onto the shoulder. “Okay. I guess we’re getting close-ish anyway.” He said, with a little grin before climbing out of the car. He grabbed Louis to take him for a little walk to see if he had to go before bringing him back to the car and settling into the passenger seat. Once they were back on the road, he had to smile- “Feel better?” He said, rubbing his shoulders.
Dillon couldn’t help but remain anxious during their car ride, only able to stir and breathe did that to him and honestly he hated cars for that reason; at least he didn’t get car sick, right? Holding Caleb’s hand and petting Autumn seemed to be the only things that could ease his anxiety, making him smile a bit. When Caleb pulled off to the shoulder, Dillon called his parents to tell them just how close the pair was and his mom babbled on and on about how she’d straightened up Dillon’s old bedroom and how they’d painted it a functional color to make it more like a guest room. The angel could only smile and tell them that he missed them before hanging up the phone. When Caleb had gotten back in the car, Dillon was in the driver’s side, smiling over at him before leaning in for a small kiss. “Ready to meet the parents?” He teased with a grin; he was excited to see his family.
