A curious brow rose as Marcel studied the other a moment longer, there was obviously something that makes her feel uneasy and he can’t blame her. “Your expression doesn’t seem that way though.” He teased, shaking his head a little. “Is there anyone bother you or something?”

“I was going to say the same thing.” Sarcasm laced within his voice as he sighed playfully, before a smile creeps up along Marcel’s lips once more. He did all he could for Sophia’s basket and even Cami’s but apparently the Mikaelsons always gets what they want -- which he is not entirely surprise. “Well, maybe both. I could really use some of y’know, blood and maybe the other thing too.”

This man who Marcel calls friend is one of those who stood out the most for him, needless to say it was strange to see someone to take on the responsibility of raising a child as a consequence of his actions -- let alone a heretic. “Tripp!” He greeted with a bright smile, giving the other a soft pat on the shoulder in return. “How long has it been? I thought you were dead for a minute.” Marcel said joking, who knew a reunion would be in place at a event like this.

The dates were meaningless to the woman, her true goal being to try and find people with useful information. And what better way then to literally buy their time for a few useful conversations. Though she’d yet to go and tend to her date, instead choosing to get a drink first, unable to stop herself noticing the man standing nearby. “Well, don’t you look a sorry sight.” Nadia murmured, eyebrows raising at the stranger.

Marcel frowned at the stranger’s words as he turned to face them, with his lips pressed into a thin line. “And don’t you look like a delighted sight. Your date ditched you?” He assumed the worse must’ve happened with an attitude like that, but he could be wrong. However, something about this women seemed off or maybe to say... strange. “Or did you lost your way back?” Marcel teased, chuckling lightly as his eyes narrowed slightly.

ana smiled as he ordered a drink for her. “don’t know yet. haven’t seen them. guess i was early or something which is a weird concept,” she laughed. “what about you? where’s yours?”

“You? Early?” Marcel laughed softly, with the time they knew each other -- being early is the last thing that Ana would do or at least that’s what happened whenever they agreed to meet up for a drink back then. “Got none, so I’m just here to enjoy a drink or two. Maybe grab a snack on the way back, who knows.”

Gia went about minding her own business as she enjoyed her date. Sort of. She was grabbing a drink for herself when she saw Marcel grabbing a drink. “Going solo?” She asked. “I’m sure a ton of women here would die to be your date,”

Marcel turned towards the familiar voice, small smile dances across his lips before a soft chuckle was heard. “Says the one who’s also here alone, what happened to your date?”

“I look so stupid.” Isaac muttered. The suit he was wearing had been one of his dad’s. He didn’t feel like asking for anything from the Mikaelsons, he’s bothered them enough already. His tie was loose and he didn’t have a clue on how he should tie it. “What’s the point of still doing these things anyways? Making everyone as uncomfortable as possible?”

Marcel was just passing by when he heard the stranger mumbling under his breath, he couldn’t help but to stop and sighed as he know he had been in the same kind of station before. “Here, let me show you.” The vampire spoke up, reaching over towards the stranger’s loose tie before he showed him how to do his tie like he promised -- the way Klaus showed him many moons ago. “And then you’re done.”

ana wasn’t as invested in the whole event as some of the other people in town. she hadn’t seen who’d bought her basket yet. and she still wasn’t even sure what made her make one in the first place. she felt her lips pull into a small smile when she spotted the familiar vampire at the small bar. “feel like buying me a drink?” she asked playfully.

“Wouldn’t want your date to be jealous now do we?” Marcel laughed softly, but nonetheless he ordered a small drink for Ana too before turning to greet her again. “Where’s your date? Were they not what you were expecting so you ran?”

There was part of Marcel who wished he could at least win one of the basket shown the other day, despite how may he denies that it wasn’t his original intention. Without a date, he decide to still partake in the event gathering at the field where the crowds seemed larger than he was originally thought. With his hands tugged at either sides of his pockets, he took a brief look around and sighed. Wondering how long this peace would last, it didn’t take long for him to find the little bar stall and ordered himself a small drink.

Ember chuckled at his words giving him a shrug. “I told you it was for the best you were dragging out the inevitable, poor girl just needed to know.’’ she spoke taking a sip of her drink once more. ‘’Tell me, why were you being so nice if she wasnt going to get what she wanted?’’

“Maybe a nicer way would’ve done the trick.” Marcel mused, this wouldn’t be the first time he had been in situation like this despite the amount of people he sees in New Orleans. “The last thing I want is for ladies to fuss over me.” He said playfully, offering the other a charming smile. “Plus, it was never my intention to go any further than drinking and talking.”
