âă â ă her legs stay crossed as she allows herself to lean and rest her back against the chair. after taking a glass for herself, the liquid is transitioned from can to cup and she smiles, her demeanor already beginning to relax. as the ( fallen ) angel begins to speak, it doesnât take long to earn a reaction. â pffft ! â the beer in her mouth suddenly sprayed back into her glass, â love ? you think what you had with that demon was love ? ⌠are you a fuckinâ idiot ? itâs no wonder your dad forced you out. hell, i wouldâve, tooâway to go, big guy. â nari shoots a thumbs up towards her ceiling for effect. â wait, just out of sheer curiosity, did your dad even have you lot out of love ? or was it out of necessity ? â Â
before the veela can take another swig, minkiâs comment forces her body to tense. her own father was a mystery â one sheâs never been able to solve, nor did she ever want to bother trying to. parents were useful for only one thing: bringing you into this world, whether you want to be here or not. those were nariâs thoughts, anyway. â did mister black sheep himself just admit that he finds me attractive ? â honey colored orbs have followed her guest as he moves and it doesnât take long before she follows suit ( despite the way she acts, unless roleplay is involved or sheâs trying to prove a point, nari doesnât like to look down at others ). on her way over, she arms herself with a few more drinks, then positions herself next to minki; forcing him to sit shoulder to shoulder with herâunless he were to move, of course.
â considering my mother looked like a barf bag had sex with dog shit, i do believe itâs safe to assume i have him to thank for my stunning, and completely breathtaking, beauty. â nari downs the pint in her hand before allowing a chuckle to spill into the air between them, â iâm not entirely sure, though. unlike you, i was ALWAYS the unwanted child, so i donât know the first thing about that fuck stick. â
The fallen angelâs insecurities are only fueled as the words from Nariâs mouth struck a chord with him. Itâs more of a confirmation, to what heâs believed for the past five centuries. With a sigh, he chugs the rest of the bitter liquid as if trying to drown in it, suddenly regretting the choice of cheap convenience store beer instead of opting for a stronger substance. Gasping for breath, Minki wipes the drops from his mouth with the back of his hand. âYeah, you donât think I donât know that? Still, it didnât mean that I didnât love him. I donât even think Iâm over it.â Another can is poured into the red solo cup, to further free himself of the creeping anxiety of the current subject. âSomeone had to watch the moon, you know. That was my job.â It sounded like a silly one, but Asariel held that title with pride back then.
Minki allows himself to relax against the veela, a soft chuckle eliciting from him at her statement as he turned his head to look in her direction. âI might be a black sheep, but Iâm not blind.â He simpered. âYou demons need to stop being so damn attractive. Temptation is the hardest thing to fight when it comes to your kind. Or, well, half of you that is.â There were certain morales that the former angel abided to, one being obviously honesty. It was even worse with the alcohol streaming in his system.
âEh? I thought faeries were supposed to be some cute things? Donât think I have ever met one, wouldnât know if I did, but just my assumption.â Knowing about other species that werenât angels or demons werenât necessarily his forte. Taking a long gulp of his current drink, he glances over at the veela with a curious expression. âSure, but do you ever just sort of wonder? There had to be some part of you that wanted to see him at least once.â

As much as the fallen angel enjoyed class and was often engrossed in the lessons, he simply just needed a break. Things were starting to pile on, with several of his professors scheduling exams within the same week, it would be great to chill the fuck out, to say the least. When too fried to continue studying or exhausted to play video games (shocker), Minki opted on seeing friends around campus. This time around, a certain siren was someone that he felt he should see that day. Right after the end of his afternoon class, he made his way outside of the building and to the water surrounding the establishment. There was one place that he always met her and as always, plopped down next to the water and waited patiently with his legs crossed. âGuess who?â Minki shouted into the water, sure that she would hear him.

kxjinhwan:
Jin could practically see the reaction his question caused as the comfortable silence slipped into oblivion and was quickly replaced with a deafening silence. Minki froze but he could see the gears turning in his head. Before Jin had enough time to ponder the inner workings of the angelâs mind, the other moved. The angelâs action was so unexpected in nature it snatched Jinâs breath right from his lungs. In one swift motion, Minki situated himself into his lap while his hands gingerly caressed the demonâs cheek, claiming it as his. Which it was. Everything he had to his name was Minkiâs. All he had to do was ask, Jin wouldnât hesitate to give him the world.
Although initially the surprise inhibited him, it took no more than a few seconds for Jinhwanâs body to fall back into place and respond accordingly. It was as if time slowed. The hands on the clock dragged as his lips crashed into Jinâs. Sweet and supple, he tasted him on his tongue, just like remembered. Nothing outside this space mattered anymore, as long as he had Asariel in his arms there was nothing else that deserved his attention. So enamoured by his presence, he failed to hear the words leaving the otherâs mouth, only catching the last few syllables. Italian was not his strong suit, languages never were, however he did have a few words in his small arsenal. Â
Too distracted to care, Jin paid no mind to what he missed and focused his attention on his long lost lover. His hands lovingly explored the canvas of Minkiâs body, settling on the small of his back to hold the angel against him. Honestly scared that if he let go, it might be another century before he saw him again. The loneliness that filled every crevice of Jinâs being since his absence ached and longed to be filled with the angelâs love once more. This all felt too right to stop but more importantly, he didnât want to stop. The demon didnât want this moment to end, not now and not ever.
âNow that youâre in my arms, I donât think I can let you go again, Asariel.â
One thing had always stopped Asariel from finding his lover; once he had, there was no guarantee he would be able to pull away again. The pain didnât matter. Itâs something that can be built with a tolerance. There had to be a solution for this. Research had to be done. Whatever curse God decided to cast on the forsaken angel, there had to be a way. For now, though, in case all of his efforts were to fail, slowly pushing the demon away seemed like the way to save his own feelings. Fuck, the angel wasnât even sure about the other entityâs feelings. This was an easy way to fool himself into thinking Jinhwan genuinely missed him in the past 500 years, and he couldnât bring himself deny it. Not when it all felt like this.
Letting their lips separate, the blonde pulls back a bit to direct a soft smile at Jin. He brushes his thumb over the otherâs prominent cheekbone with a hum. âI wish it were that simple, mi amor.â he gives another peck to his lips before letting his head fall into the crook of the demonâs neck. The hands that rested on his face move to instead embrace Jin, holding him as close to his body as possible. Tears had started to rim the cerulean eyes of the angel, whether it was from the pain of his phantom wings or the affection for his lover spilling out, it was unclear.
âI donât know if you believe me, but I really did miss you, Jinnie. Like crazy.â Minki moved to leave a trail of butterfly kisses along the surface of Jinâs neck, then along the strong jawline that used to (and honestly, still did) make his knees buckle, and finally back to where it started. âHowever, I really do need to go to class now.â He says in between pecks before finally lifting himself up from the otherâs lap. While true, it was also to get out as he wasnât sure how much longer he could endure the burning torture. Gathering his things had already been a harder task, a lot of his energy drained by then and he was sure it was noticeable. Nonetheless, the blonde stands straight and holds a hand out to the demon below him. âWalk me if youâd like.â

woojinksa:
woojin already had a difficult time navigating social interactions, and this other angel certainly wasnât picking up any of the slack for him. was this something all angels just⌠had in common? were they all this bad at casual conversation?
then again, minki did say he was tired â woojin couldnât fault him for that. when he thought about the fallen angelâs situation, he could sympathize. he would definitely be tired if hehad to go meet a total stranger that would be contractually bound to him immediately after losing his dorm room by way of a flood.
brushing off minkiâs behaviour, woojin happily indulged him of the details. âiâve been here for two years now! but thereâs so much going on, it kind of overwhelmed me really bad for my whole first year⌠i didnât go out or do anything.âÂ
âTwo years, huh?â The former angel repeated, trying to recount just what the hell he was doing during the past two years to not notice Woojin. As much as he loved to wander the school, one would think he was no stranger to a lot of the faces that roamed around Keisung. Thatâs what he thought, at least. Although one year couldnât be helped, there was still another where itâs possible they brushed past each other in the hall and Minki was too busy staring down at a textbook or his music player to pay any mind to what was happening around him. Mental note: pay more attention.
Suddenly not interested in unloading any more of his possessions at the current moment, Minki plops down onto an uncluttered area on his bed, sitting with his legs crossed underneath him. âYouâre another fallen angel, right? Howâd you end up here of all places?â he had hoped his questions didnât seem to invasive or creepy to the other angel in front of him; he just wanted to know what his friend has been up to. Aside from the initial shock, it truly left him ecstatic to see Woojin was alive and well after all these years.
Hiya ghouls and goblins and other, just letting ya know that I am indeed still working on replies and starters for the lot of you! oknari:
âă â ă with limbs tangled in satin sheets, the veela lay awake with grey hues focused on the moon visible from outside her window. her playlist lulled from the speakers of her iHome, acting as background noise to keep her mind from venturing into unwanted territory â that night was meant for relaxation, nothing more, nothing less, so why was she having so much trouble ? with an irate huff, nari sat up before arming herself with her journal and writing utensils. as her pen danced atop the pages of her diary, sheâs lost in thought when her guest first showed up, completely oblivious to the world around her, until the familiar voice pulled her back to reality. nari blinked a few times in an attempt to decipher if she was just lonely enough to dream up company or if minki had really shown up ? his next statement proved the latter to be true and sent her into a light frenzy, the pre-law major rushing into action without a clear plan: hide the diary, place her pens back in their designated place, smooth out her robe; she was vulnerable in her current state, which was something she couldnâtâwouldnâtârisk.
â okay, totally not suspicious at all. weâre fine,  â she muttered under her breath. after clearing her throat, she called out, â well, if you didnât want that to happen, why did you show up uninvited with no warning whatsoever ? â the door opened, revealing the fallen angel eliciting an eye roll as she stepped to the side, â but since you came all this way, even with goodies, i guess i can forgive you. come in, iâll go get that iceâyou better have two cracked when i get back. â with her front door locked once more, nari did as she said, gathering the cubes in a bucket, then carried it back to the table. â so, what happened ? did you suddenly remember how much of a disappointment you are to dear olâ daddy ? â she armed herself with a bottle, making herself comfortable in an arm chair with her legs crossed, â you know, iâve always been curious ⌠was the dick really worth falling from grace ? â Â
Minki huffed, refusing to answer her question unless the door opened within the next ten seconds. He was itching to down the alcoholic drinks, but even that wasnât new. Some could say it was the road to developing alcoholism. Bite me, he would answer. When the door finally opened to reveal the female he was waiting for, he offered a bright smile, choosing to ignore the initial eye roll. âWow, donât act so upset to see me. That just might hurt a little.â he chortled. Like many times before, the blonde strolled right into the room and plopped everything down onto the table they usually drank at, unloading the booze and food items he haphazardly threw into his basket. As per request, Minki cracked open two cans for them to get started on, guzzling down half of his own.
âHaha, very funny.â The former angel poured the rest of his beer into one of the red cups he purchased on a whim after filling it with ice. The topic of his fall had always been sensitive, more than heâd like to admit, but with the veela he found that it didnât have to be something he had to be uptight about. It was whatever. Still, it wasnât a surprise when he swallowed the rest of his drink and was already opening another to dump into the ice-filled cup. âHe can shove it. âDaddyâ acts like he loves us, but when we find it for ourselves, weâre useless.â Minki had started to rant in between gulps, letting himself settle down onto the floor with his back against Nariâs bed. An even more fragile topic was the demon that made him fall in the first place. âWell, if you seen his face,â he mused, drumming his fingers along the plastic, âBut Iâm more curious to hear about daddy demon of yours.â Turning the discussion had always been the defense mechanism when it drifted onto his demon love affair. âHad to be worth it to mom. Judging by how you look, Iâm sure he was quite the looker?â

kxjinhwan:
Jinhwan watched the angel fall back as a result of his aggressive action. It was clear to him now that Minki wasnât lying when he listed his lack of strength as one of his decreased abilities. âDo you think I consciously decided to put myself in such a torturous situation?â Jin retorted, baffled. He was in disbelief at the ludicrous ideas the ex-angel seemed to have convinced himself of in their time apart. âNo,â he continued, âI wouldnât choose this for myself but more important than that, I wouldnât choose this for you. Not in a million fucking years, but I suppose I canât help what my soulless body wants now can I?â
How could Minki proclaim his unwavering hatred for the demon one minute and the next confess that he never stopped loving him in the first place? Beyond confused, Jin could do nothing but just stand and observe, trying to make some sense of the otherâs thought process. It was interesting, to say the least, to watch the angel fall to the floor in exhaustion and proceed to lament over shattered pottery of all things. As if he hadnât just went berserk on the demon a mere a moment ago. At some point, Jin had become accustom to the angelâs affinity to virtue although that didnât stop him from being perplexed by his action. How could one be so good-willed even after being discarded by their almighty creator?
âIâm sure you were,â Jin stifled a smile at the otherâs defensiveness as he descended to the floor to accompany him and the shattered artwork. He almost felt bad seeing him like this, so powerless and out of his element. The Asariel Jin once knew, his energy knew no bounds. That was something he learned through experience. Even seeing him in this state only brought back fond memories for Jin. All he wanted to do was forget their conflict and sit by his side for as long as time allowed.
Attempting to help, Jin fiddled with a piece of pottery although in doing so clearly his mind had wandered elsewhere. âThen why did you leave?â he asked suddenly. âIf you never stopped, why did you leave meâŚâ
Once again, Jinhwan was correct. If the two couldâve helped it, they wouldnât have fallen in love. Not in a million years, did the fallen angel think he would yearn for a demon. Yet there he was, in the same room as the Godforsaken entity he loved. There was no answer that the former angel could give him. It happened so fast it felt unforgiving. Minki had been so weak to the idea of love and perhaps this was his punishment for it. If Jinhwan was here to mock him for it, he deserved it.
Minki had expected the demon to leave him there, a part of him wanting him to stay. But there he was on the floor next to him, tinkering with pieces of broken pottery. Biting back a smile, he placed a repaired vase to the other side of himself and began working on another. There was a comfortable silence that the male appreciated, but the company of Jinhwan was what made the angel warm inside. For a moment, the possibility that his love was unrequited was forgotten. He could forgive himself this time.
Hearing Jinhwan's question caught him completely off-guard, his hands freezing over the nearly repaired piece of pottery. Because I was convinced that you didn't love me was what Minki wanted to say. No one in their right mind would stay with a person who didn't love them back. Truth be told, Asariel was all in. The idea of losing his wings to be with Jinhwan, at the time, was what he would've asked for himself. When his angelic self confirmed that his love for the demon exceeded the moon, he was ready. And then it happened. His wish came true. The wings were ripped off his back and it was one of the most excruciatingly painful experiences the blonde has ever had. The trauma shook him to the core. It felt like a part of him was ripped off along with the wings. Cursed to be without the only entity that was worth getting kicked out of heaven.
Why did Minki leave? There were multiple reasons that the angel left, some that would fail to make sense to Jinhwan. It didnât even make sense to himself. All he knew was that being around Jin, even just thinking about wanting to be around him physically pained him. A lot of it was tied to the marks on his back and rather than make sense of it now, he had other ideas. It hurt right now, but it was bearable. How much more could it hurt if he allowed himself to indulge in the other male? Would they still burn? There was only one way to find out, he reasoned.
Silently, the fallen angel moved forward to straddle Jinhwanâs lap, his hands reaching to cradle the otherâs face lovingly between them. Without missing another beat, as if it hasnât been 500 years since then, he leaned to close the distance between their lips. It was familiar, yet indescribable in the way it made his head dizzy and chest explode. Though it was hard to ignore the agonizing burn that grew worse with every second, Minki simply decided he didnât fucking care at the moment. After depriving himself of Jin for so long, it was nothing. âTi amo. Sei il mio tutto. Ti amo tanto.â he whispered every once in a while, when they pulled away for a mere second. God, it fucking hurt so much, the burning ripped across his back like a wildfire, but it had to be worth it. For Jinhwan, it had to be.

Stopping by the local convenience store had been a regular occurrence for Minki. Lately, so had been buying cases of beer. It wasnât his favorite alcoholic drink, but it was cheap and easy to access, so why not? A case was enough to get him tipsy. In this instance, the fallen angel was out for two boxes of the stuff. He didnât feel like drinking alone that night, so why not stop by Nariâs dorm? No one else heâd normally see seemed to be available that night. After paying for the beer and snacks, he loaded them up into his backpack and headed back to Keisung on foot.
âYo, Ri!â The blonde found himself knocking on the door of his⌠sort of friend Nari. While the female ground on his nerves and knew how to push every one of his buttons, her company was one he enjoyed. Perhaps itâs the mutual understanding of being away from home and not able to go back, or maybe even the mutual need to get tipsy. Either way. âThe beer is gonna get cold.â Minki complained outside the door, followed by another knock. âI hope you have ice this time.â

Mingyu smirked watching as Minki began to fall into a fit of laughter and give into his whim. Biting his bottom lip, the boy looked up at him with a sense of vulnerability in his eyes. âI donât know what I think about guys. Love is nothing but a joke to begin with so what would make having something going on with a guy any different?â
Minki shrugged and leaned against the wall behind him. âDoesnât matter. You can still sleep with people without love, ya know.â He reaches over to pat his best friend on the shoulder. âDonât worry about it, man. You can like whatever you like. I wonât judge ya.âÂ
