Minho looked up swiftly as his door was opened, blinking at the girl there a few times before his eyes finally focused. “Ah, Sangmi. Come in.” The vampire had had many types of students over the years, which wasn’t much of a surprise considering he was coming up to having spent two centuries at the academy, and he had had many students who weren’t happy with how his classes were run or graded. The moment he had seen Sangmi’s name on his attendance sheet he had a feeling she would join the latter group. Minho had heard about the witch from other teachers, all boasting about how she was a great student with perfect grades but students with perfect grades rarely did well in his classes. Some rumoured it was by design, which Minho couldn’t completely deny, but he preferred to say it was because perfection was a hard thing to maintain across the board. Failure was necessary. He closed the book he had been scribbling in as he fully turned to face the student. “Is there an issue with it you’d like to discuss?”
