Refrence Rework #2: Cassandra Blossom / Cherry 🌸

Aand we're back, boy is this one whiplash. from one of my newest OCs to one of my oldest. we have Cassandra! otherwise known as Cherry.

Cherry is going on 6 years old, she was actually my first ever object OC! she has gone through... many human designs, many object designs too, when i first drew her she looked like an apple lol

One thing i feel a little meh on with this rework is the eyes, dont get me wrong i love them! but its taking a little bit to get use to how the eyes look on the object version. trust me they arent going anywhere, just something i need to get use to

Now theres her alt outfits! the reason Cassie gets a winter outfit when Sierra didnt is, i imagine merfolk have to remain underwater, or travel to warmer places over the winter season

Refrence Rework #1: Sierra Syrin / Seashell 🫧

Hello! im working on a little thing where im making my artfight refrences months ahead of time, so i can get them all settled and as detailed as i want without shriveling up and dying a day before artfight starts.

To start we have Sierra!

Sierra is a mermaid princess, a super bubbly and energetic girl, she tries her best to be. but royal life is hard for someone who just wants to run around and have fun, not to mention all the pressure for perfection.

Funfact! sierra along with most of these coming refrences are technically gijinkas of object ocs! im fading away from the osc buuut im too attached to the original versions to fully let them go, so i comprimised with myself for making both!

This reference is much simpler on purpose because aside the name and color palette, all the details are the same. soo.. i saw it as repetitive to write the same stuff for both.

And last but not least we've got some alternative outfits for her! swimwear without her tail, pjs, a princess dress, and a special outfit for the future where she gets away from all the pressures that are genuinely hurting her, she gets to find her style and be more herself!

Hi! This is Retro. And this other thing right here is a mini comic I made a week or so ago. I made this as a test to start a line of full length monthly BFDI Comics. It took about 11 hours to make from start to finish (as ridiculous as it sounds), but I'm super proud of it! Friendly reminder to take proper care of yourselves during the runup to Art Fight and throughout the entire Art Fight event. This includes taking regular breaks between drawing to stretch and let your wrists rest, drinking water, going outside for fresh air for at least fifteen minutes if you can (fifteen minutes gives time to get vitamin D if it's daytime, which will make you feel better), eating, and sleeping. The last thing anyone wants is for you skrunklies to burn yourselves out, especially trying to catch up with making ref sheets the month before Art Fight officially starts. You're more worth that amount of care than a yearly month-long event is.
