how it feels watching my favorite vocaloid producer likely set themself up for suicide in real time

getting more and more nervous watching ghost and pals empty their drafts after uploading that weird ytp with emphasis on cutting yourself.

like yeah they've made some (admittedly pretty big) mistakes in the past and even some recently but i dont hate him. i dont want ghost to become an internet lolcow or be harassed for the rest of his life or anything like that.

i feel like most ghost and pal fans feel essentially the same in just wanting ghost to:

1. log off the internet

2. seek actual, professional help

this feels like some weird farewell

GHOST has turned off comments on all of their videos. I don't know exactly when it happened, but it seems to have been recent. The only place to comment on their channel are now on their old community posts.

i don’t think it’s possible to articulate just how much it feels like project hail mary was made to appeal to Me Specifically. not only is the plot like 3 of my all time favorite story types in a trenchcoat but we’re talking EVERY time i hoped something would happen it did. i hope that’s another ship. i hope it’s an intelligent and yet vastly biologically different species of alien. i hope they dedicate significant screen time to learning to talk to each other. i hope they become friends. oh this would all be so much more compelling and tragic if he never actually wanted to go. i hope grace waits as long as he can to admit he’s on a one way trip and cries about it but then rocky helps him but also i hope they don’t actually never see each other again. i hope they both die for each other but i don’t want them to actually die. i want to see beautiful glowing lights in space. amaze amaze amaze. rocky grace save stars. our engineers are ready to send you home. can i think about it? yes, think about it for a long time. i got EVERYTHING i wanted and nothing i didn’t. they’re calling it the happiest ending a movie has ever had

eva stratt genuinely makes me froth at the mouth what do u mean she has to hold herself back from the very people she wants so desperately to save what do u mean she makes herself less human in some ways so she can save all of humanity what do u mean she stays strong and never cracks because if she breaks then so does everyone else and that cannot happen what do u mean when she lets down her walls just a little bit for one man she ends up having to send him to his death what do u mean she's the world's whipping boy what do u mean she's going to jail for the rest of her life all because she did what she had to do to save all of humanity and what do u mean she was right the whole time. and that the project she sold her soul and humanity to, that she gave all of herself to, succeeded. what do u mean it was all worth it.

The effort put into Rocky’s voice astounds me. When Grace lets it slip that he’s not going to go home, Rocky is so upset he forgets to clarify “why didn’t you tell me” is a question, which is abundantly familiar for people speaking a second language when emotions run high.

When the translator is working, you can still hear the musical tones of his natural voice in the background (a detail a lot of franchises have missed, I’ve noticed.) In the scene where Grace is pinned to the control panel and the translator doesn’t work anymore, you can clearly hear Rocky saying his name in a higher octave, panicked.

This movie ruined my life I want to own it on DVD immediately
