The stranger’s smile would only grow as he witnessed the summoning of the boy’s Persona.
"Impressive…but…"
Hiro’s eyes lit up slightly, raising his hand up, a ball of black and red energy forming in his palm, using it as a conductor to Set’s attack. In response, he slammed the ball of energy down at Morgan’s feet, the recoil enough to push Morgan back a bit.
"…You are far weaker then you realize, child. Fear, despair, and doubt…I sense them all within you. You certainly have potential, but you have no actual strength in that empty heart of yours."
His eyes looked directly to Morgan’s, almost in a way if he was studying the boy, that calm smirk never fading from his face.
"Nothing but bitter memory…how pitiful."
The spell's recoil was enough to shake the boy into regaining his movements for now, quickly drawing the knife from where he had hidden it.
Oh, he was certainly scared sick to his stomach but he wasn't the type to back down out of fear. Especially not when cornered.
The tower user tried to think of the best course of action - attacking with water again would be a bad choice, the entity had so easily disrupted his attack and it was very likely a dark attack would do nothing at all. As he hesitated the dragonlike creature came to rest before him, preparing to defend if necessary.
He could probably hit with a good physical attack or two. Maybe. He was cornered again and he hated it.
"So what?" He spat in return. "Yeah I'm a fuck up. I know that! If you're just gonna berate me you might as well shut your damn mouth now."
It didn't take much to push the boy's buttons. He'd been bottling up a lot of this since his aunt had taken him in out of what he could only figure was pity. He was pissed and Hiro was going to hear about it.
"You're right. I'm fucking terrified of you, who wouldn't be? Well.. hah, probably mom. But I'm not going to just stand here and listen to your shit. I've done that my whole life. Fuck me if I want to live on my own agenda for once, huh? Try and be a normal person and blend in.
'Cause every time I try some asshole like you comes along and makes my life hell! Fuck this world and fuck you for being in it!"
