The Wild Card and The Tower
Storm clouds brewed in the skies above the ominous tower, almost warning whoever came near it to stay away. Lighting flashed lit the stone tower in its brilliant glow before retreating fading away as quickly as it came. Every single thing about this place just screamed for people to stay away, unless they were some fool hearty hero with a death wish. Or If they were Emerald. Hero, wasn’t the best term to describe someone with Emerald's traits. Being angry, rude and crude weren't exactly the qualities of a true heroic figure. Then again, her causes were noble so perhaps she was just the person to confront the supposed dangers of this place. Not a lot was known about the Tower and according to the files whenever someone was sent to investigate they would vanish. This place was an oddity and if there was one thing that an organization called The Informants didn't want it was not being informed.
The agents were all skilled, skilled enough not to outwit even the sharpest of minds. There was no way this individual was some sort of amateur. The organization was losing too many of it’s agents so it was time for them to play a wild card, Emerald. The objective of her “mission” had been simple, investigate the tower and whoever ran it and get any info she could about it. If she had to talk to whoever owned this tower, then she would talk to them like a person rather than a potential criminal. According to her contact she wasn’t the best for this mission but she got results so that’s all that mattered at this point. Reconnaissance wasn’t her cup of tea, she always preferred the go in and punch everything approach. This was different though, failure wasn’t an option. Blue eyes peered at the obstacle that loomed before her. She started to approach, walking steadily to the dark tower on the horizon. Her resolve never wavered, not when she was so close to goal. Those blasted informants said that they had concrete information for her this time. It had to be something that she could really sink her teeth into. Any opportunity to end this entire ordeal was one she would take with almost no questions asked. She approached the building from the side, trying to stay out of the immediate views of the windows. Emerald had to get in, get the information and get out, simple as that. If she had to crack a few heads, then she was fine with that.
