The world of dance was a fleeting and sudden rush. She had been dancing since she was allowed and now she was fighting for her lead roles. Roles that she believed were meant for her. She had been practicing for years and like hell was her front page going to slip from her fingers. She made every single move to make sure she was the focus. She won this moment. But she noticed one little issue around town before her day.
There was a stranger, one who walked with a cocky stance and seemed to always be so sure. She could tell he was definitely a problem. So she kept watching. She saw the way he watched the world, the way his eyes focused just so. His hands were dirty and she could feel it.
It was almost easy to set up a surprise meet up. A quick pace walking, a bump, she falls. She demands him help her with enough panic that any good man trying to avoid the world would immediately agree with to get her to shut up.
Alone, she smiles a smile that is more teeth that smile.
“We have a teensy, weensy smile on this amazing day!”
--- The world shone with a certain UNYIELDING LIGHT, the sort that could BLIND the naive if no one was there protect them ( just bright enough to distract from the DARK, hidden just out of the public’s sight ). This is where Felix found root, settled within the SHADOWS as he followed his latest hunt --- a PREDATOR on the trail of its latest PREY, the man lurked just on the outskirts of the area. Appearing DANGEROUS wasn’t so much a concern, though appearing SUSPICIOUS always had been his downfall --- too many times, a partner would ask him to dial the confidence down, to act like a normal human being ( for once, god damn it, ), but he saw no reason to present such a front tonight. The job would be OVER and DONE with before any unnecessary attention was caught, surely, but just as the thought crosses his mind, he stumbles into a stranger; had he not been paying enough attention ?
The woman immediately causes a scene, frantically asking for, at the very least, his assistance in regaining SOLID FOOTING. For fear of volume bringing more eyes to their interaction, he obliges within MILLISECONDS.
“ --- right,” he breathes, ANNOYANCE a soft AMBIANCE to his tone. “ ... are you okay ? “
