"for my own sanity, i'm going to stop thinking about this!" ← person who's going to think about it all the time forever
so anyway despite everything falling apart a pigeon couple has decided to birth and raise their babies right in the plant box outside my bedroom window
the parents (called Big Mama and Big Mama) have two kids, which are called Hiiii babies, The Muppets, little dinosaurs, though officially and occasionally I call them Ophelia and Amalthea
since i am their weird huge featherless pigeongodmother, and I have so very much fallen in love with these little dudes, i am very concerned about them always. i hope and pray and would do anything for them to grow into happy healthy adult pigeons.
I try to mostly keep my distance but have set up a nice little food and water station the next flower pot over, which seems appreciated by the parents, and sometimes i sit by the open window, hum the pans labyrinth lullaby and slow blink back and forth with the babies. they're so cute. i just about die every time i look at them. they're growing up sooo fast, and have evolved from little dino beans into kind of uncanny valley pigeons with funky eyebrows.
i feel so incredibly lucky to get to be a part of their lives, i hope they bring as much joy to anyone seeing this as they do to me
