So my fiancé is doing this amazing series of campaigns, where we started off from VtM: Dark Ages, then jump to just before the Convention of Thorns happened, then another jump to Victorian Era and then we end up in the Final Nights ( your character can die and then you enter again but with a generation one higher than everyone else, if you survive, you emerge as all powerful Elders if you play your cards right ).
So we just wrapped up the second campaign after the Convention of Thorns ( or Thorn Con as we affectionately started referring to it, though not in character ). We have the power to change canon history in this campaign so it is exciting!
It is especially fun for me, because I ended up playing a Cappadocian. We didn’t choose our clans, we built a human and based on our personality, we could end up as any of the Dark Ages clans. My character was a wise woman, with great knowledge in herbs and was accused of being a witch. The Tremere tried to claim her but she literally ran in the arms of the Cappadocians and became a nun in their order.
Her character development so far is amazing and I love her so much, her name is Iris Auer and as we ended our second campaign, she is a power to be reckoned with. She became a very paranoid and calculating person as the Giovanni started hunting down the Cappadocians in the second campaign, not to mention that the Tremere was after her as well as they wanted to reclaim her by sending a Tremere after her, faking friendship and hoping to blood bond her to him so she will give them her power of Necromancy.
Now what actually happened is that she managed to keep the Cappadocians in the Camarilla at the Convention of Thorns, turning things around and making the Giovanni into the hunted clan. Not to mention that said Tremere actually offered to become fully blood bonded to HER because he fucked up and he wanted her help and that way he could show that she can trust him. Later they made the blood bond mutual just to protect themselves from others trying to do the same.
Not to mention she discovered acid and developed acid filled vials that she put at the end of a crossbow bolt... she actually killed one of her coterie members with that, as she knew that he was on the Anarch side and she is devoted to the Camarilla. She is such a badass woman suddenly and I am actually said I will have to wait a few months to continue in Victorian Ages, as she is one of the two original characters who survived out of 6... I so hope she makes it to Modern times, I have already started this great plan and I expect to see her as the head of a massive pharmaceutical company.
