This isn't easy for her at all. One would expect a quick, direct answer from her. Hey, she's literally Archon. However... in her eyes, which see far more than others, there's suffering. Not much, but it loops and burns like crazy. It's perfectly visible, and you can guess who those gazes are directed at. Scaramouche. Nahida hasn't said anything yet, looking at his poor body and soul, which probably nothing can save.
"You're a lost mouse. Trying to be a cat. A predator. But you'll never achieve it. If even after all these exhausting struggles and pointless dreams, you don't realize it, I'll have to leave you eventually. I am knowledge. Reason. Don't expect me to constantly pat you on the back." Her voice is rough. Even annoyed, and to some, it might seem frightening. She's doing this for his own good. He's not the center of the universe, and he never will be. The sooner he understands that, the better for him.
"Your wings didn't take you that far anyway. They burned quickly in the sun. It's no use, and if you persist, you're lying to yourself." The being slowly approached him. She now treated him as if he were a frightened little animal unsure of what to do. Which is essentially a metaphor for this sad life.
"Will you grow again, or will you remain a wilted flower forever? The final choice is yours, Scaramouche. If push comes to shove, I will defeat you as many times as necessary."
Oh, this child... why did this seem to happen more and more frequently of late?
Was it some kind of magnetic force between Pyro Visions? No, maybe it was his age. Was he starting to look like a dad? The thought was enough to make his blood pressure rise.
Diluc wasn't ready for kids, and he liked to think he never would be. He had stuff to do.
But that look on Klee's face...!
"... Are you going to tell somebody when I do it?"
If. He should've said 'if'. What kind of slip of the tongue was that?
Holy shit. Of course it had to be Diluc. Of all the people who live here—him! Fate hates her, really. The girl made a rather sour face when he started talking. It was as if she had hatred for the red-haired guy in her veins. Although maybe she's exaggerating—he can be nice sometimes… Sometimes.
"That depends. If you're a terrible hugger, I'll definitely complain to everyone. Especially Uncle Varka, Kaeya, and Albedo!!!" She was truly proud of herself.
a kiss on the cheek + corner of the mouth perhaps 👉🏻👈🏻 — from castorice to mydei !
@csmicshq /
Mmm. The pleasant touch of Castorice's lips on his body. A breeze and a feeling he clung to like a dog. He's quite calm, and so are his eyes. They're full of love and affection for this wonderful woman everyone fears. He holds her tighter, returning those kisses all over her face. This world is peaceful now; nothing else matters but them. This big man smiles so gently and beautifully… that smile is reserved only for her.
"Have you stopped already? You should try harder. I was hoping for more." He teased her gently, lifting her like a bride. One hand scratched her hair, trying to keep it from falling into her small, charming face. He desperately wants to gaze at her. He can't stop.
"Next time, I'll shower you with so many kisses you won't be able to breathe. You'll regret giving me so little now." He wasn't serious; he was still acting. He liked and could be annoyingly sweet sometimes, in his own way. He'd learned that from spending so much time with Phainon. Now he uses it to his advantage. Plus, he wants to see her blush.
"I'm just here for a delivery." Diluc does not hesitate further, placing a bottle of rare vintage on Nefer's desk without any boastful presentation. "... Along with an extended invitation to have tea together, if you'd like. Consider it a formal apology for my declination last time."
The man pauses then, seemingly fighting something inside him. With a quiet sigh, he gives in, offering some kind of explanation, even if at the expense of his pride.
"... The Traveler and his companion know a fair share about me already. More than I'd like. There are some things I wish to keep between you and me, if I can help it. That was all." He says then, shaking his head. "Of course, you are very free to reject the offer. I won't be offended. If you did, I would simply consider it as a way to pay back my slight."
@visionsofecho / Nefer's birthday (late)
Her eyebrows arched slightly, and she wrinkled her nose as well. Diluc had never been like this—or so she thought. Birthdays are a curious and interesting time, after all. The woman smiled gently at him after a moment, seeing what he had brought her.
"Hmm. I admit, you've actually stocked up well. No wonder, since you own a winery yourself. It's nice that I can be the one to sample your craft." She spoke sincerely, but her voice didn't indicate it. As usual, it was rather dry and cold. That's just how she is. It's hard to break through her hard shell.
A gentle smile again. And her head turned more sharply toward him.
"Tea? Brave. I'll gladly accept your invitation. Don't worry, though, I don't feel any ill will towards you after your last refusal. You can rest assured. Regardless… I appreciate the gesture."
She laughed. "Of course. I understand that. You can't hide anything from me anyway, so you have no way to fight it. You're sitting with me and you'll always be in my network."
Of course, they would meet in their usual stomping grounds; The Flagship, not only Varka's favourite watering hole within the borders of Nod-Krai, but also the best place to garner the latest threads of grapevine whenever they would sprout.
But gossip was not on the cards today, however, when he approached the woman - already propping up the bar as Varka had entered that afternoon - from behind, arms curling around Nefer's slender shoulders in a sort of semi-embrace, his chest pressing against her back, to place the carefully wrapped gift on the counter in front of her.
"A little kitten came and whispered in my ear to let me know it was your birthday today~" The knight breathed against her cheek, a statement - a lie... it was Lauma, not a kitten, he doesn't really know why he said that but it sounded cute in his head - accentuated by the wide grin tugging at both corners of his mouth before he shifted to sink into the seat next to her.
Upon opening it, Nefer would find an elaborate stationery set: a decorative quill topped with an emerald feather that shone like the mischievous glint of her eye, and a set of writing papers, all perfumed with the sweetest fragrance that reminded him of her.
"Perhaps this would prove useful for when I eventually leave for Mondstadt. I would like to hear from you still, hm~?"
@azure-steel / Nefer's birthday (late)
Nefer knew perfectly well what day it was. Unfortunately, people usually forgot it was her birthday, so she didn't delude herself that anyone would give her anything. Except for Jahoda, but she didn't count, because she was her employee.
She went straight to the Flagship—she and Varka had arranged to meet there. She didn't know why he insisted she come today, but she wasn't about to refuse him. There wouldn't be any big celebration for her birthday anyway.
She felt those large hands on her shoulders—and his large body too. When he pulled her close, she gently lost her footing and sank into his chest. Was that wise? Of course not, but since it was Varka, she was slowly starting to trust him. Trusting others selflessly… what a funny concept.
"Ashru? You don't understand him, Varka. Surely it had to be Jahoda or someone else from the temporary group of friends." Had she named them that purely by chance, or perhaps on purpose? She wasn't entirely sure herself. She wanted to add something, but her eyes and face were surprised by this gift. The woman sighed deeply and gently, almost nervously grabbing the box. She felt like it would melt, disappear from her hands, and yet… it was still there.
"That… is quite nice. I'm actually surprised you felt like doing something." She said this when she finally got her hands on his gift. A beautiful quill, beautiful scented paper.
"True, if you go back there, we won't see each other much. It's quite sad, don't you think? But don't worry. With this new equipment, I'll make sure you never miss me."
The woman grabbed his neck tightly, sat on his lap, and kissed him on the lips.
"I hope that's enough of a thank you; I don't like using such simple words."
Collei suddenly appeared somewhere in a single moment. Her head automatically looked around, afraid it might be just a joke. This situation was only meant to make her feel safe for some kind of test. She no longer knew what was real and what wasn't.
Her breathing quickened, and she felt as if she were sweating unnaturally. Her hands were shaking, unrecognizable. First, she had to endure Dottore, now another similar situation. Let people finally leave her, she just wanted to live with her friends.
When she finally looked closer, a man in a large hat appeared before her eyes. He was next to her. At first, she didn't understand what he was saying, but after a moment, she understood. Oh. So he saved her, right?
She recognized him. She thought. She wasn't sure anymore, from the emotions she was feeling.
He grabbed his hands tightly, holding on only to the safe thing that was now nearby.
"You… you seriously saved me? How did you manage that, then… that was… It's too hard for an ordinary person."
Her voice was shaking, quite broken, wondering what she should do now. Why was he still here and hadn't abandoned her?
"I… I'd like to thank you. Especially since you didn't have to do it at all. I don't know how you ended up here and decided to save me." She sighed heavily, her hands finally leaving his. She now held herself tightly.
"I appreciate it, but I'm just a random girl. I have no mora or anything of value. I can't give you anything."
Just a quick reminder: I am adult. Unfortunately, I have a life of my own, so sometimes I'm on Tumblr more often, and sometimes less. I don't care anymore that I don't post here all day long. I'll respond to whatever I want, whenever I want.
That goes for DMs too. — just please, be understanding and nice.
Anyway, going to try to sleep/after that maybe reply to some things. Love you guys.
'Simple' she claims and yet he hasn't the faintest idea where to begin. And yet he trusts her regardless. Perhaps she's right and he simply needs to get the ball rolling. The notebook handed over is unexpected. He'd been anticipating a demonstration, not being involved himself. And the autograph and drawing...
Soft chuckle slips forth at the signed rabbit. So very March. He'll treasure it just as much as the photographs.
Though looking back over at March his expression does falter somewhat, mouth pulling thin. His heart will guide him? He's always had trouble understanding it. Life of pragmatism and practicality taking the lead. It took years for him to put a single sticker on his plain phone case, and even then he couldn't decide for himself which to pick. It was others that suggested for him.
What does he like? Oceans, sunlight, books, flora, dragons. But is that helpful in this context? What sort of decorations exist like that? And such preferences have no bearing on how best to arrange the photos. How should he sort them? Related scenery? Timeline order? What arrangement? Perfect rows or scattered and angled like March's? Her touch to his nose is hardly acknowledged for being lost in thought.
How is he supposed to know?
Your heart will guide you.
❝How do you listen to your heart?❞
Realizing that was spoken aloud Dan Heng shakes his head, brushing it off and hoping March won't mention it. ❝Sorry, I—nevermind. Ah, I could put something with the Express Crew first?❞ He doesn't play favorites (though he suspects she's only teasing? but he adores the crew that has become his family. It only seems right to have them front and center. ❝You all are highly important to me.❞
March 7th didn't want to make things difficult for him, of course not. She spoke her mind, which she truly believed. Despite everything, she'd forgotten that Dan Heng was Dan Heng, and he had even more trouble understanding certain things than she did. Still, his gentle laughter calmed her down a bit. It was good that he liked it, that she didn't scare him with what she had to say. Of course she heard the question. A question she herself sometimes finds difficult to understand. Her gaze softened, as if to show him that she heard him and wouldn't make fun of him. Sometimes she teases him too much, but when it comes to things like this, she takes it very seriously.
"I'm not sure myself. I don't want to tell you things that will be alien to you… Especially since I haven't fully accepted myself yet." Evernight. It's something heavy and terrible for her. That she has it in her subconscious and could come out at any moment.
"It comes with time. You can focus on it intensely, or touch your hand to your chest. That always helps me, and… even though you might feel like you can't see or hear anything, it's still there. Your heart calling, thinking things up. You sometimes think it's your subconscious, but it's really your heart."
This time, she laughed softly. "Don't worry, seriously. I know it sounds pretty absurd. And I don't even know why you're still listening to me, but I hope it helps you a little."
She patted him gently on the shoulder.
"That's a great idea! See? You're starting off very well. You're giving something at the beginning that you really love and value. You're starting to get it."
Hyacine vc: "It's alright, lord Mydei. Let's take a rest fora moment, okay>"
@the-dimensionals /
"Lady Hyacine. I don't need a walk or anything. I'm fine. I don't know what got into your head that I, of all people, need your attention. You know I'm immortal, right? I can't die."
Mydeimos tried to tell her this, even though she was practically begging him for the walk. Funny, but he wouldn't yell at the woman too much.
he is well aware that she could spot it from miles away. still, he does not deny it. instead he reshapes into something manageable, something that does not demand immediate attention. the golden blood has dried after all. because admitting that the experiment was deliberate would yield him nothing.
❛❛ in comparison to the rest, this is trivial. ❜❜ others require her more. he would rather she expend her efforts where the outcome justifies the cost rather than waste precision on something self-inflicted. ❛❛ a failed hypothesis. ❜❜ no elaboration follows.
❛❛ i still have my other hand. ❜❜ there is a flicker of humour despite the situation. then a quiet sigh slips past him. ❛❛ i'll go rest. ❜❜ he promises. ❛❛ as long as you do the same. ❜❜
"You know very well that I can't rest. Of all the people you probably know, I'm not the one who needs it. On the contrary, I should be working even harder. There are too many patients here now. It's all my fault."
The woman slapped herself loudly. Anaxagoras is always like that, thoug. Worrying about her even though he doesn't really have to. And she does exactly the same to him. They both are so stubborn, especially when it comes to neglect their well-being and their own health.
"These failed hypotheses of yours will be your grave. It's sad to watch… I told you so many times to be more careful, attentive. Don't make any big moves right away." She sighed deeply, gently patting his wound, which was already well-bandaged. She had taken care of it so quickly.
"Funny, Professor. You have a very strange sense of humor. I wonder if you'd still joke like that if one of your arms really fell off."
Robin touched his cheeks gently. That skin, the only skin she could feel right now. And she wanted to feel it on herself, of course she did. She wasn't afraid of his bites. Of course he was talking about not hurting her. After all, he shouldn't treat her like some toy, like glass that would shatter. She was beyond that, she was more than just that.
"Boothill. Now I feel like you're insulting me. I never told you to stop or to be less gentle. So don't worry about it. I've dealt with even more difficult and bigger situations than you. I'm well-known, I'm liked, and many people trust me. Who would I be if I were to quickly fall apart or not survive one hard bite?"
She laughed softly, a hint of menace in her voice. What she said was sincere, but also… she wanted to be more to him than just a burden he had to protect. She didn't know why, but it was incredibly irritating on one level. And she didn't want to feel guilty or argue with him either. It was a tough one.
Despite everything, her thoughts now turned to something pleasant and sweet when she felt the gentle bite on her skin. Those teeth she knew so well, shark-like teeth. Which she adored and cherished.
The woman turned a faint red on her skin. After a moment, she did something unlike herself. Her head moved closer to his real skin, and her small teeth dug into his cheek. She forced his head lower, of course—he was too tall for her. And no, she wasn't being gentle. She forced her teeth to act.
After a moment, however, she simply smiled at him and massaged his prick with her feathers.
"Do you still think I'm gentle? You know… I can endure a lot. You don't have to be afraid of me. You don't have to be afraid of your big hands or sharp fangs. I can handle them all."
"Lost? Come on, of course I know where to go!" Truthfully, Maualni doesn't know. Why did she agree to be a guide, even in a different part of Natlan than her own? She probably thought that since she'd been following Kinich around his territory for so long, she knew it all—and yet she can't remember half the roads and paths. Now she's not even sure where they are. Damn it. She hopes Kinich will save them. Or anyone in this area.
"This…this is just fun! Haha, don't worry. Now we should go left and…we should come across a big cliff from which you can see everything. I've been there so many times, I'm sure I'll figure it out."
