So this is a no fic rec post. An apology to all my followers and maybe people who look towards my blog (I mean seldom few who do),, it's not like my blog's big?? but I just keep getting people who follow me in my activity even when it's like really inactive rn. I keep expecting older followers to like unfollow this blog?? (with no offence intended) but I'm just. Glad? And feeling sorry? I've shit load of fic recs, and all sorts of plans for what I want to post-- but my mental health hasn't been the best of my years and. Honestly. I'm sorry, for just being inactive blog, and like thank you, if you're still waiting patiently. I need to get my head out of this whatever dungeon I've trapped myself in-- but I'll be fine. I hope so, atleast. So. Thank you for your patience, and I apologise if you look forward to my recs (tho I sure fucking hope you know that I'm really flattered)) I never knew people would be interested in my (first time, so immature, really long) reviews. I just love that we all have fanfics to fall back on and I started this because I want someone to scroll down, find something that just clicks with the very first line, like it happens to me. It's a beautiful, painful experience, reading fanfics, and I hope you all have a good time wherever you are.

This kept getting rotten in my drafts, and I have no comments to spare, it's fucking beautiful, you better read it, plus, echoing author's note, which kind of said, sometimes happy ending is not ultimate happy ending but it's a happy ending nonetheless, it stitches you back together, slowly and painfully, and it's reality. (I read the author's note after the fic, and both surprise in you the most punch-in-the-gut pleasant ways. You want to cry, half bcs its not that ideal happy ending we crave and half bcs its not the ultimate happy ending and they did it so perfectly that it doesn't needs a but)

PS: I'd apologise for the incoherence if there is, but I just realised at the pitiful age of sixteen (16??) that animes are a thing of force and beauty, and am thus sacrificing my sleep for this heinous mistake. (I watched cql, if you're wondering, not mdzs anime)

So I wanted a nice one shot bcs I was having a shitty morning, and then this came. It's like best a/b/o dynamic fic I could've read simply on the virtue of not having any elaborate worldbuilding yet rocking it. Wwx gets knocked up, with lwj's baby, and the pining is of the same kind with wwx thinking lwj is his generous best friend doing all this for him, and lwj, well, pining. Except the pining, from wwx's pov, is triple hard. Wwx, somewhere along the way (basically in the hazy moment after giving birth) realizes, he is in love. Lwj, with utmost practicality, doesn't want to hear it, bcs he sure thinks wwx feels like this bcs of hormones and he is in too deep to hear it in any non-serious ways. There's no motivation, no, like, an ultimate problem and then an ultimate happy ending. They are a couple, figuring it out and making it worse sometimes, but it's one of those best fics where their characterization has been done so accurately my heart soars. I cannot stress enough how much you need to read it, it's a mood booster, a natural fix it modern wangxian, mpreg, if it wasn't clear already, and done so smoothly. My major concerns with mpreg one shots (or any, for that matter) is that sometimes their getting together seems unreal. This feels real, yet the writing weaves inside of you, hooks you. You feel wwx, and you feel their settings. This fic has it all, and so much more.

It had been a good plan, as far as Lan Wangji had been concerned, at least until he remembered that lying was prohibited in the Cloud Recesses. Surely denouncing the existence of something fell beneath that category on account of lying to oneself?

In which Lan Wangji passes out after leaving the QishanWen archery competition only to wake up an indeterminate time in the future with a beautiful, infuriating, very naked stranger in his bed. It goes about as well as expected.

So lwj gets sent back-and we have expectedly confused and hilarious debacles. Wei Ying was Mo Xuanyu then, so lwj obviously didn't know who was there naked in his bed first thing in the morning. He comes to like this new husband, while still pining for wwx of his time, who may never love him (according to him) if he ended up being married to someone else. Lxc and wwx decide not to tell him much, in case he goes into shock, yet we have lxc and wwx bonding over here, and the juniors (jingyi was the head of disciple, and he was nothing like his predecessor lwj, not hanguang jun, who was now there at his age). It's one of my most favourite long fics, I don't know if it's potentially fix it or not bcs its tragically still ongoing (but the author said they are back on schedule, so) I really like how lwj is thrown into this new gay panic when he realizes he likes his husband too but cannot and does not want to act upon it bcs he's still in love with wwx. He comes to know how shameless his future self has become. Like, literally and easily one of the best unintended time travel we could ever get, made more brilliant by the fact that it's not, mainly, about fix it. He just goes, accidentally, and learns in his time until his genius husband finds a way back for him. We have so many bonding scenes, so many new relationship bonding scenes, just imagine an earnestly, adorable eighteen year old lwj trying to see what changed and how he fits in there. It'd be impetuous not to read it, it's just a must read.

Getting together, in the end (no happy ending kisses, just, oh, okay, kind of understanding), and soft, and unhurried, and beautiful, this fic we need to read just to remind ourselves that wangxian is not a relationship of sudden attraction of the unknown or different, it's based on long years of standing together with each other, not knowing why, and seeing each other as people when everyone around them see them as a culmination of obligation, duties and nature.

That's basically it. However punctuated with delirious, metaphorical writing, wwx's alcohol-addled, sleep deprived brain, anger simmering in the behind of his mind and thoughts of lan zhan. And not in a bad manner. Just, you know, best friend fic where wwx has lwj's door key, his room and presence feeling like only thing that can help the shaking of his hand. It's soft, and nice, and I may say sweet except that it's more low-key incoherent kind of cool one shot which deserves to be read.

So I'm not going to spoil for you, bcs it does come later, but lwj in here is cursed. Not that much, not that harming, but it is something. No war au, cql verse and yes, maybe, fairy tale elements, it's from lwj's pov and it's soft and beautiful in an easy way. A nice to read one shot when you aren't looking for anything heavy, serious, or long. Just, a healing short read for yourself? It's engaging in all the good and light ways.

Crack fic taken seriously, the tags read, and it's funny and fast and bittersweet and interesting, with nhs and meng yao's sarcasm, lxc's drunken kidnapping and ensuing chaos, and wangxian's night out by roaming the streets and visiting gay bars along with their statement-making wedding entrance, all the the things happening just between jin zixuan's late night not-bachelor party and the frantic wedding preparations from next day's afternoon. Don't miss this one, it'd be regrettable.

Okay, so. Every fic rec I'll ever post will be my favourite. But this one got a star in my list. Reason? I've never seriously read dancer aus, I guess, but this one just awed me. I'm sure many would not share my sentiment of discovering swan lake the first time-and that ballet is a huge point of this fic-but. But. Maybe that ballet was the reason it was more beautiful. But I just feel like the author here picked up our characters and made them humans, you know, normal regular humans. Not wei ying, or lan zhan, in essence. They have the traits and all, but it's more of an author's treat of an admirable merging of concept, metaphor and fandom characters. It's a normal, beautiful story of beautiful and haunting characters. Please check it out.

First: I love this author. All of their works are begging to be read. Second: this, in typical wwx fashion, is about wwx doing something he shouldn't be doing in the first place. Then (obviously) making the cold and not-wanting-to-marry second prince fall in love with himself. While he's a hidden fugitive robbing people who came to ask for the said prince's hand. It's soft, and beautiful and so so sweet. Dream fic we all need sometimes? We even have yunmeng sibs legally protecting their long lost brother and the wens, normal jiang cheng feels, and of course a stubborn prince and a nice story.

Or, a band AU, mostly.

Honestly though, there are so many tropes about lwj and wwx being good at something and getting famous. Then wwx having a fall out, lwj being a celebrity. Then they meet. And things change-for good. This one's exactly like that. Just, the writing is beautiful, the pain and longing wwx always has a bit sharper, and a yuan! and jiang yanli! (What do we want more?) If you want to have those healing fics where things get better, and believably so. Check out for a slightly less angsty yunmeng bros for a change, and a cool teenage band they once had.

Lan Wangji gets to know what exactly he feels about touch. And the possibility of baring down to someone when he doesn't even lets anything flit across his stoic demeanour. I just love this fic because of the intense and mature character study (or author's take itself? Can't tell) of lwj. A must read, and really just not for maturely done smut.
