Me watching season 4 of the umbrella academy:

Episodes 1-3 were so good and then it turned into an absolute clusterfuck.

Yeah season 3 wasn’t actually that bad compared to season 4

As I’m trying to come to terms with whatever the fuck that was, I’ve decided that:

Seasons 1 and 2 are peak. Absolute masterpieces. Canon.

Season 3 can be taken or left. Has its moments, but overall not as good as the first two. Canon, but only if you want it to be.

Season 4 is a fucking crack fic written at 2am that the author rereads at a later date and decides to delete. Absolutely not canon.

setting up a romance line but waiting until one of the actors is a freshly legal adult before executing it is creepy, actually, especially when the co-star is 15 years older

I will say that Luther was my favorite this season. He was absolutely hilarious.

Similarly to HIMYM, The Umbrella Academy is doing a really weird forced love triangle.

1. Lila met Five when he was a child. Idk if in the show he’s in his 60s

2. Lila and Five had a great dynamic, as brother/sister. And it was such a well developed more or less friendship.

3. One of the writers is a fan of The Magicians because the peaches & Plummer the shit out of this.

4. I loved the first few episodes but forcing the separate adventures strained the plot as a whole. The “Jennifer Incident mystery” was better than the actual reveal

5. Five and Lila together is so gross. I’m going to block it out.

In conclusion, the first few episodes were great dynamics interesting and then the plots took a hard left. Oh yeah and they just left Klaus in a coffin for most of the season.

Will Halstead was one of my least favorite characters on Chicago Med next to Natalie.

That being said, Season 8 was the only season that I liked Will and now that it was revealed he as leaving the show - I realize why.

This was Will’s only season where he didn’t make me shout at my screen. He was passionate and went above and beyond for his patients but he was respectful and not completely off the wall. He was notably not as present in his own storylines but still there on screen doing his thing.

I loved how Will got his endgame with Natalie. I may have struggled with liking the two characters and their storylines, but it’s nice when you see your characters get their happy endings.
