Switchbook: Give back to the band who gives you so much!

Our main site, My Switchfeed, is making a gift for the band to celebrate their hard work on Vice Verses. They can't do it without you! Submit your entries HERE or email them to [email protected]!

Hey fellow fans! I’ve been lucky enough to score some time with the guys on the day that Vice Verses comes out at their Oneonta show. (I’ll be reviewing/photographing the show). I know that there are a few of you out there that have asked for ways to get your message out to Switchfoot, and I thought I’d help you out.

Switchbook: What are Your Vice Verses?

The project will be a small booklet of flashcards. On one side, it will show your name and your Vice Verses. On the other, you can write a short message to Switchfoot. (Think short, like a Post-It Note!) 

Example:

Side 1: HOPE & MUSIC

Side 2: You guys are SO awesome. I really love the song ________. You inspire me so much and I can’t thank you enough. Hope I can see you in concert soon!

10,000 Bullet Souls by Fred

 “10,000 bullet souls”  (a poem - it’s a setlist of sorts.)    A thousand souls, a single breath, no feet were on the ground  A monstrous roar of die-hard fans when instantly, the sound    The song of heartbeats, breaking down, echoed inside our ears.  The darkness lit by lights, like stars, erased our every fears.    Our souls were fired like bullets, straight into a wall of noise -   A blissful kind of noise, in fact, was good old Foreman’s voice.    Gone were my troubles, in those hours I let my spirit go.  They sang that His love was a song; our arms swayed, to and fro.    We felt so free and happy while Foreman asked us to sing.  He always chose the finest words for our awakening.    He told us how we’re meant to live; to step outside our shells  And while we sang, we jumped and made real messes of ourselves.    The place was filled with high-pitched squeals, and while we learned to breathe,  Jon told the staff to shut the lights; our flashes we’d bequeath.    The place was lit, and Jon was pleased - “This is like home,” he said,  He touched Manila’s hearts tonight and many tears were shed.    “We all are one tonight,” we sang, as ecstasy reigned true,  They started walking out - we wondered if the show was through.    We begged for more, ‘cause after all, they were our only hope  When, smiling, they came back and said we didn’t need to mope.  They started greeting hurricanes, and we knew what he meant  When Jon said he was gonna sing a song about movement.  So there you are, a song of my experiences unfurled.  That fateful night in Manila when Switchfoot rocked my world
