i was asked recently by someone who really only knows the queen of the damned movie why they didn’t get someone to sing over sam (rude) because he “should have a bigger sound” and why lestat wasn’t good at everything “like he’s supposed to be” (rude asf)

and honestly??? if you can’t separate the polished off movie from the more accurate show then just leave it to those of us who enjoy it. sam’s voice is so perfectly fitting for the sound they were going for sorry it’s not a korn fans wet dream, this isn’t going to be nu-metal like the 2000’s. plus lestat not being “good at everything” is literally because it’s from his own pov, he’s full of himself but obviously he knows his flaws that’s been pointed out by himself many times already and he even criticizes his own music. i don’t get why some people force themselves to be so miserable and not enjoy the show for what it is and compare it to the qotd movie and then must bring those who don’t down into their pit of judgement and despair

I can’t find the post but that one person who said “rotten boy” encapsulates both how Marius view Armand as the ‘beautiful’ child he bought and as fundamentally broken, rotted, and ‘tarnished’ by immortality. And how rotten implies a decay that we see in other vampires far more than in Armand
