+ dear god, that's a lot
Hello! I can do starters, but it'd really help out if some of you guys could make one and tag me so I don't have to do, like, 20, haha. Like if you'd like a starter, or feel free to message me if you want to do some plotting.
He’d been driving for what felt like days. Exhaustion settled in to the point that as soon as he saw the first vacancy sign on a motel, he was pulling right in the parking lot and getting the cheapest room possible. Dean was dragging ass to put it simply. The car turned off and he sat there staring at the steering wheel for a moment. Everything going on around him, leaving Sam and Castiel the way he had…
Dean felt like he could sleep for the next century and still be exhausted.
That’s why when he pushed open the door and climbed out, he jumped completely when he felt arms wrap around him and his hand immediately reaching for his pistol. Dean blinked several times when he saw the fuzzy, familiar face. Complete shock wrapping over him for a moment.
Benny was… dead. He was dead and he wasn’t coming back from Purgatory and how the hell was he staring at him. There was no denying that accent though. There was no way this was just someone else, at least he was praying to whatever god might have still been listening that this wasn’t some kind of sick trick.
"B-Benny? How-What-You’re…" His words fumbled around as he shook his head in disbelief. "How are you here?"
Dean's disbelief had Benny wanting to just start laughing as it all washed over him. He was back. He'd told Dean everything had begun to wear on him, of course. He didn't belong on Earth, not with the bloodthirst constantly pulling at him... but seeing Dean made his uncertainty on the matter worth it.
Purgatory could be a damned lonely place.
"If I knew, I'd tell you," he answered, shrugging his shoulders as he stepped back again, pushing his hands into his pockets. "Feel like I blinked an' suddenly, here I am."
Which was ten kinds of suspicious, but he hadn't been able to focus on all of that just yet. He was still finding his land legs, so to speak. "How y'been, brother? Where's Sam run off to?"
Just a stop by for a bite to eat someplace, get a bit of fresh air and then back on the… time road? Road? Time? He scoffed at himself for trying to make it sound like he was vacationing while he grabbed his sonic. Red converse shoes skittering around the console as he made sure the TARDIS was in park mode and wasn’t going to kick him out and leave him for a bit the moment he took a step off of it.
She’s been acting fussy lately, he really needed to look into that.
But the food wasn’t really needed, Time Lords weren’t really required to eat everyday but it never hurt to grab a bite now and then. Plus breakfast for dinner sounded great and who doesn’t like a cup of coffee.
Even if the Doctor was technically banned from drinking said drink in Stark’s tower but he wasn’t around to enforce that rule now was he?
He closed the TARDIS’ door behind him and took long steps into the diner, his mind racing at what exactly to get as he sat down at the counter. It wasn’t long before it was approached by one of the workers asking what to get him.
“Welllll, coffee I guess to drink. And to eatttttt.” He trailed off, grabbing the menu off the countertop and opening it up to scan it briefly before replying. “Banana nut pancakes, happen to have those?” His eyes glanced up towards the other, just a bit too hopeful.
Full of energy, wasn't he? The vampire couldn't help smiling a little more, pressing down the urge to chuckle a bit as he nodded his head. "Not on the menu, but we've got bananas an' some pecans. I can whip some up for you." It wasn't like it was particularly busy anyway. He scribbled the order down on his notepad, despite knowing that he'd remember it.
And he couldn't resist glancing toward the window one more time, at the strange object that had appeared seemingly out of no where.
"Ah, not t'be a bother, but you didn' happen t'see anyone move that box there, did you?" he asked, gesturing toward the window. The man had come in just after it showed up, after all. Maybe he'd caught a glimpse of the people doing it. Maybe if it had been as simple as it'd been dropped off, he wouldn't have to start worrying about witches, or demons, or whoever else might decide they needed to make seemingly ordinary objects randomly appear.
After being set free from the bunker’s dungeon, detoxing Sam of one out of control fallen angel and his little confrontation with Abaddon, Crowley was happy to head back to his mansion home, sit back with a glass of Craig and catch up on everything he’d missed whilst he’d been under. But he’d barely picked up the glass and sat when he felt the familiar sensation of a summoning. The tug behind his navel, which would grow increasingly painful if he didn’t answer the call. Sigh. Business calls.
Expecting to be back in the bunker and in a devil’s trap, Crowley was a little surprised to see he was somewhere else, standing in front of a stranger. Though— no. A vampire, his senses told him. Fresh from Purgatory too, how about that.
"Might do," no traps. Well, at least it was a relatively warm welcome. And the subject matter, a little surprising, and a little bit of a tender spot. He knew plenty about Purgatory now. "What can I do for you, darling?"
He could see what Dean meant when he'd said there was something dangerous about the man. Not in an overly obvious way, he didn't go about looking like he could snap your neck with a little flick of his wrist (though he was the King of Hell, so Benny wouldn't have been surprised if he could), but rather... there was something almost charming about him. Something that made you want to let your guard down.
Good thing he knew better.
"Keepin' things simple, I haven't the foggiest how I got out," he explained, keeping his eyes trained on the demon. "So either someone pulled me out, or Purgatory jus' happened to spring a leak. Don't much like either idea." Either someone very powerful was looking to use him or there was a hole somewhere that all kinds of dangerous monsters could crawl out of. "Hoped you might help me find out which."

To say he'd heard a lot about the man would be an understatement. Benny had been around for the ugliest of 'the King's work, even if he hadn't been in the midst of it himself, for the most part. Between what he'd heard from Sam, Dean, and Bobby, it was some ugly stuff, but there were a few details which had caught his interest in the entire thing.
Lighting the match, Benny dropped it into the bowl, watching the ingredients burn. He'd performed a summoning spell or two in his time, though unlike most, he didn't bother with drawing a trap. What he heard about the man, it wouldn't have mattered much if he had anyway.
"Crowley. Heard you know a thing or two 'bout Purgatory."

He'd know the sound of that car anywhere.
Rushing to the window of the little hotel, he pushed aside the ugly floral curtains to peer out, confirming what he'd already known. 1967 Chevy Impala. Spotless, cared for with the utmost love, there was no doubt in his mind who it belonged to.
A grin spread over his face.
The last time he'd seen Dean... well, it hadn't been on the greatest of terms, though he never had, and never would hold a grudge against his friend for it. He'd needed to do it, being honest, as much as Dean needed him to do it.
He didn't waste time. Benny grabbed his cap, shoving it on his head before he stepped out of the hotel room, catching his old friend just as he was climbing out of his car.
Hopefully he wouldn't mind the surprise.
"Brother, you're a sight if I ever did see one."

Well. That was strange. Benny furrowed his brows in confusion as he peered out the window at the strange object, the blue box that he was certain had not been there only a few minutes ago. For two weeks he'd worked at the little diner, making a bit of money before he moved on again, and every day he glanced out the window several times, and he was certain the blue box had not been there. Surely he would have noticed if someone had dragged the thing and dropped it off. Would have heard something, or seen someone.
Benny knew better than to brush something like this off. He'd been around, seen his fair share of magic and knew that objects appearing out of no where was never just some innocent occurrence. What someone would use the blue box for, he didn't know, but he promised himself he'd keep a weary eye out anyway.
Shaking his head, he returned his attention to the diner, where a new customer had just sat down, one of only two there at that slow hour, the other a usual that used the space to work on his laptop.
Benny approached the suited man, offering a smile.
"Mornin'," he greeted, pressing down the urge to glance toward the window once more. "What can I get you t'day?"

Demons looking for Dean? Definitely trouble. And Benny wasn't about to spill a single word to the woman. He wasn't stupid, and he sure as hell wasn't going to put Dean in danger, not even to save his own hide, should this woman try and 'persuade' him.
"'Fraid I've no idea who you're talkin' 'bout, miss. Best be on your way."

Benny liked to think he knew trouble when he saw it, and definitely saw it when the redhead strutted in. He could smell the sulfur on her, and absently wondered if she knew he was there -- temporarily working at the little bar -- or it was just an unlucky happenstance.
