salamandermarquess, periculosusessentia, and facile-princeps have been spotted in Lumiose.
Sycamore sat outside Café Soleil casually sipping at his coffe and reading today's paper. It was a lovely morning indeed and he was in a wonderful mood. Actually, he was half-hoping to see his friend Diantha while he was here since it had been a while, but he wouldn't be surprised if she was too busy.
As he read through the comics section, he caught something at the corner of his eye. It was someone familiar.
She looked up and then back at Scraggy.
"Yeah, I think he’s okay… it’s not the first time he’s been injured like this…" she muttered.
"Hehe, well he certainly seems feisty enough. Ah, but be careful not to tie that bandage too tight. You may hurt his arm." He replied with a soft chuckle.
"By the way, are you by chance familiar with this area? I was wondering if there's a town nearby."
“Ah, uhm…" Great, someone was in here. Briar stepped out of the elevator’s small space and heard the doors hiss closed behind her. With one hand she rubbed at the side of her neck, craning it this way and that. She had half-hoped that the place would be empty, but no such luck.
Giving the man a sheepish smile, she tried her best to appear as sorry as she felt.
“I didn’t mean to barge in, Mr. Sycamore, sir! I just arrived here with my parents, but they wandered off. I thought I’d find them here, but I guess I was wrong.”
Sycamore's smile quickly shrunk. "Ah, non it is no trouble mademoiselle." Though she appeared to be a young woman, he was a little worried at the possibility of her being lost in the big city by herself- and losing her parents must be a bit scary. Thankfully he wasn't too busy at the moment. Maybe he would be able to help.
"I am sorry to say that I have not had any other visitors today that I know of... do you perhaps have any idea where they might be going? I'm not busy so I don't mind helping if you need it." He said, offering the girl a small smile.
Kyouhei still couldn’t get over just how big Lumiose was. Even compared to Castelia, it was so much easier to get lost. It had taken Kyouhei about three days to finally figure out that staying on the main roads and avenues were his best bet. Although, he still wished that he could ride in the taxis, but they were just too expensive for him.
So, when Kyouhei wandered onto the third floor of some building (he didn’t check the sign and didn’t run into any people on the way up), he was absolutely clueless as to what he was doing. Stepping out of the elevator, Kyouhei stopped dead as he saw a man sitting at a desk with his laptop. He blinked as the man introduced himself, mouth falling open in understanding.
A Pokemon lab…it looked…very different from the labs that he had seen. At least, on the outside. Slowly nodding his head, Kyouhei clutched a bit tighter onto his map. “O-Oh…well, I didn’t actually mean to walk into a Pokemon lab…I’m actually just trying to navigate through Lumiose, since it’s my first time in the city,” Kyouhei confessed sheepishly.
The older man chuckled, giving the boy a kind smile. Yes it was obvious by his choice of clothing alone that he was a foreigner in Kalos so of course it wasn't too surprising that he was lost. Heck, even though the city was his home, Sycamore himself tended to get lost himself every so often. He would have suggested a taxi, but he knows relying on them all of the time tends to wear on a young Trainer's pocket. Considering how expensive the other things in the city are, the last thing he ought to spend money on is transportation.
"Is that so? Well no worries there young man! I understand it's very easy to get lost in Lumiose- especially if you're not a native." Sycamore approached the young Trainer, shoving his hands into the pockets of his lab coat. The professor's eyes trailed down, taking note of the map clutched in his hands. "And besides, I am used to people coming around here asking for directions. You're lucky to have a map there, but those only work so well, non? I'd be more than glad to help point you in the right direction if there is somewhere in particular you are going."
resonatinghope, castlebutlerdarach, prehistorictrainer, and briarinthepatch have entered the lab.
Professor Sycamore sat at one of the desks scrolling down a long list of Pokemon on his laptop. A satisfied smile stayed curled on his lips. One of his pupils was certainly doing a good job filling their pokedex! It always made him very proud to see his students grow as trainers and scholars.
He glanced up, hearing the elevator stop. As usual he assumed it was just another of his lab assistants but this time it was a guest. Sycamore closed the laptop and stood from his seat. "Welcome! I am Professor Augustine Sycamore, how may I assist you today?"

Casey didn’t notice someone was there. She and Gothitelle were too busy trying to heal Scrafty’s wounds. She was thankful she had brought a first-aid kit, since there wasn’t a pokemon center anywhere nearby. She sighed.
"Scrafty, please stop picking fights with pokemon that are twice your size. I know you think you’re really tough, but getting yourself injured all the time doesn’t really help." she said, sighing as she wrapped bandaged around Scrafty’s left arm.
Sycamore stretched out as he walked along the road, his joints popping softly. A soft hum passed his lips to ease the eerie silence about the place. Frankly he was hoping to get to a town soon so he could rest for a bit.
Up ahead he noticed a girl tending to her Pokemon's injury. There weren't too many other Trainers around so he was happy to see someone else. He stopped for just a moment in front of her to ensure the damage wasn't too bad. "Salut cherie. Is your Pokemon alright? I can help if you'd like."
"Bonjour Professor," Brooke had made sure to brush up on her French before coming to visit Kalos, "I did have a few questions as it turns out!" She smiled, pulling out a notepad and pen.
"Firstly, I’m Professor Verity, I study Dragon types. As such, I also look into their weaknesses and I hear that there’s a type of pokemon here that’s super effective against them. Fairy I believe? I was wondering if I could get a little more info about them from you if you don’t mind comparing notes?" She asked politely.
"Oh? A fellow Professor you say? It is a pleasure to have you here." He gave the young woman a warm smile, quite happy to see someone young pursuing the road of a Pokemon Professor like himself. "Oui, I do not mind sharing my knowledge at all! That is why it is there after all, non?"
Sycamore walked over to a small stack of books in search of his notes on the Fairy type. "So you say you study the Dragons, oui? I'm sure that must be an entertaining field of study! They are a very very strong type. Perhaps while you are here in Kalos you should talk to Madame Drasna of the Elite Four! She is Kalos' resident Dragon expert after all." After a quick sift through the pile he found the notebook he was looking for, holding it up with a wide grin. "Ah! Here!" He turned to Professor Verity, handing her the blue-speckled composition book lined with pink tabs. "Read it to your heart's content. There is still more research to be done on the Fairies but I have the basics down. It is true they are strong against dragons, but in addition they are also strong against Fighting and Dark types!"
-/Hey yo since all the cool kids have a rules page on their blogs these days I went ahead and made one was well~ Nothing too terribly important but just a bit of info I guess haha,,
the-guardians-prayer, cry-monster, int0xicator, eviecoordinator, aggressivegenetics, thewanderingking, brooke-verity, and caseydellarobbiapokemontrainer have entered the lab.
The professor gazed up from his reading, hearing footsteps approaching his office. He quickly put the book aside and stood ready for whomever it was that decided to visit. Surely it must have been one of his pupils wanting a Pokedex evaluation or even a passing stranger. As it turns out, it was indeed a stranger. He smiled politely, glad to have a bit of company on such a quiet day. "Salut. I am Professor Augustine Sycamore. Welcome to my lab, please enjoy your stay and feel free to ask me whatever questions you may have!"

The Pinwheel Forest. It's been far too long since Professor Sycamore had been to the Unova region. Yes, too long indeed... actually, he was a bit lost. The man rubbed the rough skin of his chin, glancing about the trees and sun-speckled pathways. "Où est-il ...?" He muttered softly to himself. Originally he had come to the forest to study the moss-covered rock that supposedly caused Eevee to evolve into Leafeon and compare it to a similar rock back in his home of Kalos, but he was far done with studying now and wanted to make his way to Nimbasa.
"De cette façon?" He decided to chance a turn near a fallen tree, hoping in his heart that this would be the correct route. As he walked, he felt a crunch under his foot, but paid it no mind assuming it was just another twig or rock. Unfortunately, this was not the case and he was far too into his thoughts to even notice the squeak that was emitted shortly after. A little Patrat sprung on its back feet taking its injured tail in its paws. The Pokemon moved as if it was about to attack the offending human, but noticed said human was headed straight for its family's territory. Quickly and quietly, the Pokemon scurried off.
Meanwhile, the unaware Professor let out a long, almost-irritated groan. If only he had thought to look for a map of the forest. He stopped a moment to dig through his bag, hoping that he remembered to bring his compass along. Just as he found it, it was dropped back into the bag once more when a growing sound seemed to approach him. He turned just in time to see a rather large group of Patrat and Watchog charging right at him.
Sycamore let out a nervous scream before clumsily scrambling for his PokeBalls. "Venusaur!" The large green Pokemon burst out in a flash of light, letting out a menacing roar. "Do not hurt them s'il vous plaît! Try to scare them away if you can... Petal Blizzard!" With a nod of understanding, the Pokemon obeyed, scattering hundreds of petals in a flurry around the rampaging rodents. The attackers saw through the bluff and quickly closed in on the Venusaur, taking it down with sheer numbers.
"Ack, non!" Sycamore called Venusaur back into the capsule and decided to make a run for it. Surely his Charizard would cause too much damage to the environment, and if Blastoise managed to take most of them down, it would probably only anger the rest further. He silently cursed himself for being such a poor fighter.
As he ran, a tree with somewhat of a low branch caught his eye. "Parfait!" With adrenaline coursing through his veins, he quickly scaled up the tree, latching onto the branch that was just out of the Pokemon's reach. Now that he was out of their way he could try to come up with a plan. If he was lucky maybe they'd give up give up and go home, but who knows how long that would take? Another problem presented itself when several of the Watchog seemed to be gnawing at the base of the tree. His stomach turned sour just thinking of what the Pokemon would do to him- or worse, if he did in fact have to call on Charizard to defend him and potentially burn a lot of the forest.
With few other options, he let out a desperate cry. "H-heeeelp??" It was a large forest, there just had to be at least one other person that could help him out of this predicament.
