We are happy to announce that the long awaited demo of Fantasy Crescendo is going to be released on July 29th as part of the r/touhou event Redditaisai 2017. The event is hosted for the second time after a great success on the highly frequented subreddit and will feature many other Doujin works from all over the community alongside Fantasy Crescendo. The demo version of Fantasy Crescendo will include the following:

-Playable version of Youmu Konpaku -First ingame experience of the Netherworld stage -Networking will be available for the first time -A new Launcher is added to easily access the game

An early peak inside the second Fantasy Crescendo stage: Netherworld by Gabo7.

Development of this stage is going rapidly, and we hope to present a more fleshed out version shortly. Coming soon: Cherry trees in full blossom, circling ghosts and of course, Saigyou Ayakashi throning on a hill in the background of the stage.

With finals out of his way, stage designer Gabo7 is enthusiastic to work on Netherworld and future stages.

Fantasy Crescendo ~ Netplay Announcement

Nothing media wise or eye candy to present this time around, but we would like to announce that Fantasy Crescendo will be built from the ground up to support P2P netplay.

We did a few initial tests with networking, and the results have been very promising. A basic matchmaking service though Unity Technologies' multiplayer services has also been tested as well.

This is absolutely integral to the success of the game: Touhou fans tend to be very geographically isolated, making it difficult for us to enjoy a good match or two locally.

Couch, or local multiplayer should not be impacted significantly for we will be taking a Minecraft-style format for local games: a local client connects to a local server. This should result in easier development and identical gameplay across local and networked games.
