Having rewatched the finale, let me say: it hurts so much because they were so close.
Not just as in "Aziraphale and Crowley were close to happiness", but as in "they were so close to writing a good ending". There are so many interesting themes. Michael being tired of trying to make Heaven run smoothly when the men-shaped angels in charge are incompetent. Aziraphale forgiving Michael, which made me realize how crucial forgiveness is to him, and how it makes him different from other angels. Angels are not forgiven when they make mistakes. They are sent to hell or killed with hellfire. Forgiveness is not an angelic trait, it's an Aziraphale trait, because he truly believes that love and forgiveness can change things. And Aziraphale's struggle doesn't differ from Michael's all that much, because he too is tired from constantly trying and failing to do the right thing (they just have vastly different ideas of what the right thing is). These were all interesting themes that deserved an epilogue that wasn't "let's just get rid of both you and the system, to make a new version of you that is not traumatized any longer".
Crowley getting a confrontation with Satan was great actually. And I wish Aziraphale had gotten some closure with God as well, instead of being insulted and seeing his love be called predictable, messy and silly.
And as for their final decision, I still think it is stupid, but if they really really wanted to go that way they should have let Aziraphale and Crowley kiss. The scene just calls for it. When Aziraphale turns back to Crowley after managing to hide his pain (and how I loathe the fact that my angel died as he lived, repressing his feelings, without a real chance to ever speak freely about what he wants), it would have been so poetic if he just grabbed Crowley by the lapels of his jacket in one last, desperate kiss. Not to convince him to change his mind, but as a goodbye, as a "I'm with you, even in death".
They had the times and scenes to make this better, but for whatever reason (Neil Gaiman's writing? Prime's censoring something? I guess we'll never know) they didn't.
Thought it only fitting that the episode about defying god and gaining true free will get the destiel treatment
I have never felt so paid off yet so utterly robbed.

Not a major DC fan - but the detail here is incredible. You can see where the tights bite into the leg. Just wow

SO. THAT NEW EPISODE, HUH?
You know I had to do it COME ONNNN
Imagine if a like 8 foot tall guy that looked kinda like an alien species just kinda showed up at the house you rent a room in and crashed on the couch and at first everyone hated him but you kinda just accepted this weird massive kinda-human alien species thing as a part of your group even though he's like twice the size of everyone else there
Cuz that's literally happening to sea lions in San Francisco right now
So there's two species of sea lion in North America: the California sea lion, ranging along California (including Baja) but not ranging into the north coast or into oregon
And the Stellar's sea lion, which are WAY bigger and live in Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska
A male Stellars sea lion showed up in SF like a month ago and just kinda. Didn't know what to do, and joined a colony of California sea lions, and is just kinda chilling there now.
Weird vagrant species happen from time to time, but this is just a particularly funny instance of a highly social species getting very lost, and just trying to blend in with its closest nearby relatives
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS EXCELLENT INFORMATION but I can't believe you didn't mention that he's been nicknamed "Chonkers"
An abandoned child grows too big and too strong for the house that raises them. They are other and are treated as such. The tension builds until the breaking point is reached and they become...[what they were made] [what they have always been].
This 12-page comic took far longer than it ever should have but here we finally are: My OC Vespertine's devastating backstory -- and honestly the core thesis of the entire character.
I've never really poured this much time into an OC project before so...this feels very vulnerable??? (pls be nice lol). The thumbs were created in 2024, and then the comic was finished only last month. In a perfect world I would make a webcomic or smth out of this but who knows ;v;
If you don't know who Vesper is and want to see some more there are bits and pieces scattered about under the below tag #story: Among Wolves and I always hope to share more about them...
I got back into watching The Boys recently - as an ex SPN nerd, it was like getting shingles after chickenpox. Just a matter of time before it gets ya.
On S2, and Antony Starr's take on Homelander is doing things to me.
I have so many thoughts, and 90% of them are just "Homelander is a victim" in different fonts. I'm trying to hate him, I swear, but you CANNOT convince me this man isn't a product of abuse, neglect, and sexual grooming (burn in hell, Madelyn Stillwell). It's like watching a kid act out, I just - I feel so bad for him? All the time?? He doesn't really deserve it, but I do hope he finds something resembling joy by the finale.
It's just so hard to hate him when it's clearly not at all his fault for being like this. Edit: As I've progressed in this show, I would like to say that while I stand by my prior statement, I will cede that he is - indeed - a bastard. Edit to the Edit: Yeah. Yeah I was wrong, team. I don't think I can justify this one anymore. Brother's gonna have to go. He's gonna have to get gone. Let me unsee the things that I have seen.
finished my deltarune animatic! yippee!!

You know what really intriguesa me about Vox is that more than any other character he wants to have his cake and eat it to.
He wants his boyfriend and for him to still fill that wife roll and he still wants the benefits of being viwed as stright in the public eye.
He wants his girl boss partner and he wants to be able to be sexist.
He also wants Alastor to be his friend agin and he wants to prove he's better than him. He wants to impress him and scare him and for Alastor to willing submit under him.
He litterly wants Heaven AND Hell.
Oh and he wants to be able to be racist while he serounds himself with poc people.
Vox litterly can't have everything he wants and he can't cope with that.
i think about “ham and bean” on the daily
Edit: people have been blowing up my notifications arguing about whether or not this is transmisogynistic. I made a poll for that, consider voting, I want a decent sample size
