Well, I mean… I watched Where the Red Fern Grows the other day and that definitely wasn’t fun.
I just think it’s important to keep up with things. Especially where we’re at.

That makes sense, but if you had to pick what’s your favorite thing about the book?
I’ll shamelessly admit that reading it more than twice got me overanalyzing it a bit too much. Doesn’t it? It makes me wish it was a more local production.
I just mostly like the flow of it, Salinger is a great writer. And because it’s classic.
That’s the fun part about reading though. Being able to make your own decisions. That’s why I hated learning about them in school, just stifled whatever ideas you might draw yourself. Where’s it put on?

Of course, but as long as you’re a decent enough singer, you can make it something good. I like to think my interpretation is at least somewhat comparable to Billy’s, though.
I thought there’d be other things you’d want me to do with my mouth all night, but if you insist…
Something good and something great are very different.

Caffeine? No, I’m all natural. Like, I’ll drink green tea cuz it’s supposed to be good for your metabolism, but that’s about all the caffeine I’ll have. Besides, it’s just boring stuff that puts me to sleep in the bus. Throw on a good movie and I’m hooked.
Sometimes a movie is good, but not everything you consume should be fun.

Well, there are many ways to mess it up. Pitch, messing up the melody, trying to speed it up and make it into something other than what it is.
I could listen to you sing it all day. And all night.

Are any of those reasons why you enjoyed it the second time around?
Aside from the drama queens that are Daisy and Gatsby, it’s not the typical love story and no one is really happy in the end. Excluding Jordan’s, everyone’s lives was a little more miserable after crossing paths with this guy. There’s also a ballet adaptation of the book that I want to see before my days come to an end.
I enjoyed reading it myself and just enjoying the story, rather than have every little thing explained by a teacher.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard about it like that. That’s interesting. Ballet, really? That sounds like it could be amazing.

I know that, Quinn! Which is why I thanked you for being so nice to me! I was just thinking about how much fun we had when we sat together on the bus last time, is all. It really was the most relazing bus ride in the books. Although maybe it was because I had someone next to me who actually talked to me and let me get all cozy with them. Although really, I think it was just you.
