I never fell for the trap because it’s really obvious, so I’d never heard it. I wish there would’ve been more things like that in her fight. Ota is one of like… 3 people?? who never betray Snake, so it would’ve been fun to play with that trust in a cruel way.

With NTR and cheating stuff, the main appeal for me is the guilt and shame involved after the fact… when it comes to Solid and Ota, it’s very easy to see how miserable they’d feel, because they had so much trust in one another.

I was wondering if there was a relationship like that during the “fathers” era, but when you really think about it… they were all lying to eachother constantly, weren’t they??? It’s less of a “I can’t believe they’d do this…” sadness and more of a “of course they did it again” sadness.

In a lot of fanfiction, I see Liquid written a bit gullible... which I suppose isn't an unfair assumption to make about him... but I feel as if it's wrong. His philosophy is misguided and silly and totally pseudoscientific even for the time, but it's something that was drilled into him over a long period, he didn't accept it on a whim. Even if he did learn the truth, his feelings of inferiority went further than just his "genetics" rants... in the end, the matter of dominant and recessive genes was just a vehicle he used to justify his feelings. He'd still be just as bitter if he found out he was lied to, I think...

On the other hand, airhead Liquid is really really good gap moe. I want a long impassioned villain speech from a man who'd turn around if I pointed and said "look over there!!!"....... so I let it slide.....

Clicker training with puppyKaz would be quite fun in my mind… though I’m a complete novice with it (~_~;). He’s an independent person… I think relinquishing control on that kind of deeper level would either be very thrilling or very terrifying for him. Ideally a little bit of both.

Of course the natural option for the trainer would be Bibo, but I’m a kazoce addict and I think Ocelot would be the type to enjoy the long and arduous process of enforcing and re-enforcing. It makes him feel like he’s reshaping a part of his trainee’s brain one piece at a time… that slow buildup is more his style. I think Bibo might jump the gun in that regard. Not that I blame him.
