Ran steady state for 60 mins today just to work out the muscles from yesterdayās long run šāāļøšāāļøšāāļø

8.13.18. Today is the last day that my sister is here so I went out for a run right after breakfast. The air quality is baaaad. Iām hoping the smoke clears out with this wind. 2 miles of intervals.

This might have been my favourite run in a very very long time! It was so nice and cool, the dogs were out and the sun was slowly rising over the fields and forests š It went better than yesterday, slower pace but less stopping and more consistent pace. Overall it has been a great week for running! Weigh In Day is tomorrow and since Iāve been gaining this week, Iām dreading it a bit, but at least Iām being active again and it feels great! šš»āāļøšØ

Three steamy miles this morning caps off a 40 mile training week. Not pictured: the foam roller and lacrosse ball that are a critical part of my every day recovery. The real trophy this week goes to them.
Today I wanted to give up on big goals and unicorn dreams. I wanted to say, this isnāt worth it, Iām tired, this is dumb. Actually, I said all of those things in my head for 2 miles. But I kept going, one mile at a time. Eventually, I found myself in the later half of 14 miles and knew I would tough it out. It wasnāt without many stops and lots of water, but who cares.
I ran all 14 miles today. What doesnāt kill you makes you stronger.
